I am using these
Joye 510 cartomizers. Made by Joyetech.
which hold 1ml but actually a bit less for comfort

now the big funny shapeed ego specific cartos are said to hold 2.5ml I am starting my first one.. but it was prefilled since I want to see what that was about before refilling.

what carto are you talking about?

LGD, how about some fun math facts while I'm waiting for Vinny to persuade the Sorting Facility in Florida to release my package? Courtesy my BFF WitchWay: an empty Mega Ego carto weighs 3.8g and a prefilled one from TW weighs 5.8g. 2 mil of juice weighs 2.3g so a filled carto should weigh at least 6.1g. Every time I refill I can get it back to the 5.8g mark, but not over. So, if you happen to have a gram scale, ehem, you're good.

Another fun math fact: an empty giant (mega) eGo cartomizer will easily accept 1.8 ml of eliquid without leaking if the bottom protective cap is on and carto is as horizontal as possible.

Chrizzle, I have a fun math fact for you too: roughly, at moderate power (3-4W), 1 drop of eliquid equals about 6 puffs. Of course, if you increase the wattage, you'll burn more. So, lets say a carto holds 1 ml and 1 ml is 20-25 drops, depending on the dropper you're using. 20 drops = 120 puffs. One cigarette is about 12 puffs, right? So 1 ml carto is the equivalent of about 10 cigarettes, or 10 12-puff sessions.

Of course, I recommend topping off and making sure that the cartomizer is moist at all times. :)

yeah I live in japan I use the metric system ;)

Yes that is a fun math fact about weight.. and I use to do that back in the day, but since turned to strict measurements when I need to know.. since I stopped using pre-fills.. (with the exception of my recent GenJoye and egocarto purchase..where I wanted to see how they were to start)

and since we are talking math with your second equation.. what does x= if x= length of puff or does x=y where x=ecig puff and y=cigarette buff and are counting z to be a constant intake to Q where z=ecig hit q=cigarette hit...

and what stage is the moon when all of this is happening?

Yup, those are the giant ones. You can get them for less here (see link), plus free shipping, if it's the only thing you're buying. Litecig offers free shipping over $15 and they are faster.

eGo Cartomizers

Never mind, they are on sale at LiteCig. $2.95 is good.

EDIT: Just remember, these are NOT the same as the ones LGD and Cozz are reviewing here (and those that are in Orlando). Joyetech cartos can only be bought at Cignot. Just sayin'.

Yikes! Very glad I didn't pull the trigger last night! Thanks for that edit! I thought they were the larger version of the ones Cozz and LGD were reviewing.

Thank you, Vinny!!!!! My package is here!!! :toast:

Well I finally found the time :D that and my baby went to sleep early :D

Thanks LGD (and thank you, baby!)

Your timing couldn't have been better. Just put a Joyetech carto on my Riva and it's good. Really nice. Out of the box. Their Marlboro flavor notwithstanding. ;)

You're welcome. I do my best work after midnight.

I'll have a followup on these shortly.

Please do! I'm learning so much from your and LGD's videos. These cartos are different and watching you guys really teaches us all how to use them properly and how to avoid stupid mistakes. Thanks again.

Holy crap, I just read Scottbee's battery voltage thread. Very informative, but it has me rethinking the Riva and just sticking to the kanger batts with a 510 adapter. Then again, the air cone might provide a totally different experience as mentioned. Sorry if this OT a bit. I'll stop now.

Don't overthink it. You can get one eGo battery and a fast charger a la carte from the vendors I mentioned before for the same price you'd pay for a V4L XL battery [I saw the new V4L XL costs almost 18 bucks plus $6 shipping.] Just try it, if you're curious. You don't have to buy a kit.

Riva and eGo gets more vapor than a regular 510 or mega batt. Twinned with an LR atty/carto - you're vaping 5Volt style - 7+ Watts. You could start with just the batt, quick charger and cone but I see Ken has Riva kits at a good price:

Vinny likes it in FL. He says he looking for a retirement condo now and that this was his last job. Thanks for the tips guys, I'm pretty sure I have been over thinking it a bit and will go for the kit with an LR atty to boot. Going to get me some of those cartos, too. And a big thank you to LGD and Cozzi for the vids!

This is just too funny. They must be mislabeled! Which one has a red little wire inside, pray tell!

Bauway on the left... Good Prophets on the right.

i think that just goes to show, 1 is never enough to form a good opinion. that or, QC sucks!

speaking of... I spoke to Ross last night. He said he had just gotten off skype with the suppliers and they were looking into reverting back to the old filler. Ross doesn't seem pleased. Regardless, I bought more ;)

I just got a bunch of new eGo stuff about an hour and a half ago (Thanks Loxmythe!). first thing i noticed, was the button sucks. probably gonna order rivas from now on. anyway.... had 2 new cartos. the first one took approx 1.8ml before flooding. gross chemical taste. carto #2 same story on 1.8ml. no chemical taste. but only been using it about 30-45min so im not gonna say much else about it. just waiting, less than patiently, for my T.V.'s to come in! ( nooo, not televisions. )

I think you mentioned something about GP 808d-1 cartos... I can't say much. I only used a few before my last good 808d-1 battery died. I have a handful of other batteries, but they are all just running on fumes. TruVapor 808d-1 3.3Ω cartos are very nice also. they seem different than the 510 build. but they are very much akin to the Turbos and Cool's in performance. I'm pretty much over the 808d-1 though. I prefer the durability of the 510 batteries. and the variety of affordable cartomizers. i am planning to switch to SmokeStik to satisfy my Auto battery needs, pending the PitBull Beta test. (won't be long now!!! :D [he's still yellow huh?])

more to come on ego cartomizers. but my first impressions, are refilling is a PITA, and unless i'm utterly wowed by some other trait, i don't foresee ordering more.
although, i do really like the way the whistle tip fits in my mouth. other notes... thick vapor! solid TH! but it tastes more like an atomizer than a carto. give that a + or - as you see fit. oh, and this button sucks. ;)

Bauway 2.5 Ω cartos compared to tru-vapors.
They actualy measured at 2.5 Ω. (Tru-vapors measured at 2.2)
Filler & coil pretty much like the Tru-vapors. I've been vaping it all day (going to bed soon) and I liked it.
The thread design is different (as you can see in Salt's pics above). There is a rubber ring between the two poles which i think is there to protect against shorts?. There is no breathing holes in the thread. Instead there are tiny air passages through the rubber ring which makes the air flow not as loose as the tru-vapors. The draw is not tight at all, in fact it is the closest I have found to an analog.
The 0.3Ω difference might make this carto a better candidate for a 3.7v device which I'm testing this carto on and so far....knock on wood.

I made sure I did my review after midnight just to deliver fresh material to katya.

You're a doll. I'm just getting ready; I was in the garage smashing my first Joytech carto to pieces with a big hammer. :p

I was waiting for your post--we needed a tiebreak. Hey, Salt, Nicnac agrees with me! Yea, I like that ciglike draw on the Bauway. But I still love my Tru-Vapors. I've had a good one going, on and off, for three days now and it's still going strong.

BRB with full report.
