Hey everyone thanks for the updates. Might have to try some of those Litecig LR Boges. If anyone's tried them yet please let me know what you thought of them.

Hey Katya I've been here on and off reading - just not much to say!! For a change LOL.

I really like the E2 510XL cartos by the way. They seem to work better for me if I debraid the wick and put it around the slots in the ceramic cup. Especially like the LR cartos,

You guys/gals are too funny!

i got them from LiteCigUSA
the Standard 3Ω variety is very good. but sometimes, just doesn't pack enough of a punch for me. The 2Ω version hit's the spot! both taste pretty good (the LR is a bit warmer, and i think tastes better), produce great vapor, and seem to fill and wick very well. almost 24hrs on my first 2 (though i am favoring the 2Ω carto), and no real signs of burning.

if you havn't tried them, DO. what else are you doing? and with free shipping after $15, you can buy 1 pack of each (2, 3Ω), and get em shipped free!
i thought the same thing about the resistance too... 3 is too high, 2 is too low... but i think there's more to it than that.

go ahead, try em.. : peer pressure smiley :

and thanks for the refresher on the IKENVAPE cartos. i'll probably grab a couple this weekend. i remember you talking about them, but wasnt sure if these were the same...

Thank you, Salt. If you can make them last a day, I"m ordering right now.

BTW, Provapes carries the LR Boge cartos and, for some reason, their moderate-resistance (2.5-2.9Ω) "brass-color thread" cartos are on sale. Hmmm... Sounds like SLB? Discounted?

Just sayin'. ;)

Provape LRs. He alternates between the verticals and horizontals. Last time i ordered he had the horizontals and i didn't like them. now the boge styles might be worth a try. The horizontals measured at exactly 2Ω.
I better go put my order in for the LiteCig before he runs out. the word is out. Carto Killer has put a stamp of approval on these.

so whats the deal? Should I only use these LR cartos on my higher mAh batteries (ego, etc...), or are they ok on the little JOYE 510s, et al?

still probably gonna use them on the little batteries regardless... they can be had pretty cheap.

oh, and i forgot to mention, the endcaps on the Boge cartos are my FAV! i dislike the truvapors. they always fall off in my pocket or something. anyway...

On a personal note...
I was kinda panicky there for a couple weeks... none of my cartos seemed to be working... tried a bunch of different atomizers, still don't like em... Thought about switching flavors, upping my nicotine...
I was snusing again...

even thought about grabbing some pipe tobacco, or a hookah...

I feel better now. :) I am pretty satisfied with this set up. Both the 2 and 3Ω.cartos are very enjoyable. and nice to have options. i think all i need is a couple more RIVA batteries and i'm pretty well off. still gotta figure out this auto battery issue. maybe a 4081 to 510 adapder, and i can use these cartos on my SmokeStik. or maybe ill grab a couple kr8's, and use them for driving....

[edit]
oh, and it looks like EastMall has them too! almost half price...

Salt, tell me the truth, are you still nursing that same LR carto from last night? I can't believe it. It must me a fluke. :) Most vendors recommend using LR cartos on more powerful batteries, at least 350 mAh. Is the deal on Rivas at LF over? That was a great price--$29 for a kit.

So I went to order my cartos from LiteCig and guess what? No more free shipping! Just my luck.

Oh, well, I can't complain, he's just charging 2 bucks for the 1st class shipping.

Nic, I'm not ready for a co-op. I'm still waiting for the new shipment of Tru-Vapors, crossing my fingers. And I really want to try the E2 R4. Bruce from CoV is getting them soon, I hope, so I put my name on his waiting list. I didn't care for the early version, but I hear they have evolved considerably.

Hello, Zelda! So what cartos are you using nowadays? How's it going with those eGo megas? I loved the taste and the vapor of both the eGo cartos and the Joyetech cartos, but I couldn't make them last. And they have all kinds of QC problems, too. And they leak, the wick burns, and refilling is a PITA. It's a shame, because the initial taste is wonderful, really almost like dripping. But it goes south too fast, at least for me.

Their mega atty/cart combo doesn't work out of the box either. Mine leaked, and gurgled, and didn't wick properly. I tried some simple mods and that helped, but I'm still looking for convenience and performance without modding.

No. the first carto started getting a little funky. but with moderate tending to, i got it to last about 24 hrs. pretty good for me. I am using a couple of the 3Ωs now, but have a LR soaking, ready for work in the morning.

typically though, i don't really refill my cartos. i tend to top off instead. and i don't rotate very much at all. when i get a good carto going, i pretty much use it consistently until it dies. topping off regularly of course. i could do better by giving them a good refill about half way through, maybe a taryn spin, and let em sit.

i just don't like having a whole bunch of these lying around. 2 is plenty. i never really use more than 2 PVs at one time anyway... (sometimes youll see me with the auto in one hand, and the manual in the other...)

Hi everyone. Hey Katya I'm mainly using the E2 510XL cartos right now. Still fairly impressed with the durability oand performance of these. I do separate the wick strands and put them around the ceramic cup - seems to work better. One thing I found is I need to keep the ejuice pretty full in the cup or the flavor dies. I occasionally get a metallic or burnt taste from them too. I drip some liquid in the battery end or run ejuice through the whole carto to get rid of it. One big plus on these is how long they last with pretty good performance.

My absolute favorite vape right now is the Ego with E2 LR 510XL cartos. Scottbee kindly sent me a few to try out and he ruined me for all other batteries/cartos combinations. :) At least for now anyways.

I also have some E2 808 cartos and again debraid the wick around them to work better. I use these on a 808 XL battery and they're not bad. I do like using the 808 occasionally as the flavor seems different to me.

I gave up on the mega Ego cartomizers. First of all the entire battery part of almost half the cartos I got lately fell right off and after only a day or two of use. They don't last more than few days. And some had that plasticy taste after a few fills. I think they're great the few couple of fills but they go downhill fast. They have great potential but not good yet. :(

If I don't drop by this weekend have a good one everyone.

Katya, please give Witchway my best if you chat with her - hope she's doing okay.

Badkolo has done all kinds of things to improve the wicking. I think that the most successful mod was the PTB:

Thanks, Bad!

Thanks Katya. I check in occasionally on that thread - what I'm doing now is dripping 3 drops or so occasionally in the battery end with good results. Lots of vapor and th. I may try the ptb filler sometime.

Good to hear Witchway is doing better. Hope she's back soon.

Mesa, AZ...off the analogs for years!
Sorry for my absence. Life got in the way...imagine that!

Question:

Haven't looked at the guts yet so can't talk about the innards. But I got the SS cartos in the PB beta test. On the outside, they are identical to GP prefilled 4081's. Exact same wrapper and writing on the wrapper. Same condoms. Same multiple piece juice stoppers.

The only difference I could see was that the GP filler was shorter and did not go as far to the top as the SS. And that may have been a fluke as I only compared one of each.

As I said, I haven't looked at the guts yet...but is it possible these are the same cartos?

Hi, Neo! No, they are not identical. They look alike, believe me, I've taken a lot of them apart. The same design, but different performance. The Smokestik cartos last the longest and are the most burn proof. I believe the reason is that they come in a 3.4-3.5Ω range, which almost makes them HR on a 3.4v SS battery, as opposed to 3.0Ω GP cartos. I'm not sure what the resistance of the latest Trueman's 4081s is because they have changed the design and the latest ones sport a vertical coil (not a wire), just like their 510 cartos.

Here's the picture of the SS carto autopsy by Yankee:
