I'd settle for 'satisfying'.
Not from the mouth end.
Here's where the condom method comes handy.

Just got my 3.0Ω XL E2 510 cartos. R4 from CoV. I have no idea what to do with them...

So you decided to try the long ones and now you don't know what to do with them.

I'd settle for 1 out of 2 at this point.

I'd love 50% at this point!

I'm not sure the condom fill method is effective with these.

When filling with a syringe I put the cap on the threads and fill through the fill hole with the syringe.
When it's full, the juice will overflow and fill the space/area outside the inner chamber.
I then use the syringe to suction out the overfill from that outside area.

When using the condom method I'm not sure the juice really gets "injected" into the inside chamber with the filling in it. I think it's more likely to just follow the air path with not much getting to the filler. I would expect the coil/wick area to get wet but not much forced passed that into the filler.

Thanks quick

That's what I thought. But I've tried another the same way, and a thurd, with the syringe method. All performed identical.

I have two more in rotation. Gonna see if I can get 'em to last longer if is switch back and forth.

Also, I think you can drip one drop at a time into the threads, an let it soak in that way. Heard it works. Assume it would. Will try next time.

...

After that, way to much to quote, but Im legitimately laughing out loud. Not like an lol chat room autonomic response.

But here's the news... Some stuff I asked katya to quote, cuz I already don't remember what I wrote... And I have another pressing issue on my mind...

I got a job with Vapure. We work closely with Liberty-Flights, and Abe has asked that I become a suppliers associate for LF. I hear this changes things for old Salty, and want to pay may respects, while they still let me post here...

This page has become invaluable to me. Once I got past the title :) I read every single thread, and caught up in a couple days. Since then this is my go to spot. My home on ECF, as it were.

Thank you all Soo much!

Too many to name you all, and I'd hate for those of you I didn't list to feel unappreciated. Suffice to say, you know who you are.

My life is better because of us.

I'll always follow, and be updated. Don't be surprised if I bug you by PM I always have questions!

So this is my sort-of-farewell.

I appreciate you all!

Oh, Salt!

I'm so happy for you. But I'm also a little sad. You're the second "Burning Cartomizers" thread graduate to go pro, and we'll all miss you terribly. First Lorikay, now you... It won't be same without you. However, it just proves that we have some of the best, nicest and smartest people in the whole vaping world contributing to 'our' thread.

Here's the quote from your PM to me you asked me to share with the world:

An update about these joye/ego cartos. They don't last me long. Hour, maybe two ??? Maybe wicking issues. I am gonna try rotating and see how that works. Maybe I can get'em to last longer..

Ego cartos kinda same deal.... I'm done with the egos though. I throw away enough juice when the regular cartos :)censored:). I don't need the XL wastage.

Good luck and PM us all you want. You deserve that job and I'm sure you're going to be successful.

xo

So you decided to try the long ones and now you don't know what to do with them.

Actually, no. I ordered regular size cartos, they messed up my order. I double checked. What good is an XL when your wick is too short?

Go gal go! Fill it up and don't look back.

I did fill it up and it worked great for a while, but the vapor production was rather disappointing; I got less vapor than I usually get from my 'filler' cartos. The taste was fabulous, just like dripping and very similar to Genuine Joye cartomizers--clean, sweet and crisp. Maybe the resistance is a bit high for the Riva (I got the 3.0Ω version). I'd like to try the 2.8Ω version next, if it becomes available locally. Maybe even the 2.5Ω?

But then came time to refill and I decided to remove that third filler cap, and that didn't go so well. I finally managed to pry it out of the shell--together with a piece of broken ceramic cup. I'm sure the darned thing was glued to it. It still vaped OK, even with the missing piece of the cup, but the taste began to deteriorate and eventually I got that dreaded burnt taste.

So far, I don't think these are all that great out of the box. They work well, but I'm sure they need to be modified to really shine, and that's not what I'm looking for. I do follow the E2 R4 specific thread and I'm not clever enough to do all those things that Br and Bad and John are doing. I love Br's/Bad's Masterpieces (I and II), I just don't have the wherewithall to go to Home Depot and start buying the pipe cutters and refrigerator tubing and dremels and what not.

I want to order my cartomizers, have them shipped to my house, open the box, fill them up without any syringes or oiler bottles and vape. Now is this too much to ask for?

It's certainly not too much to ask for. You wouldn't know it from reading some of my posts, but that's the way I want them to come to my house, too. Too bad you didn't get the regular length. They may have given you a better experience. Judging from your post, you may require a 2.5Ω version.

Some people keep talking about all the various resistances, but basically there only two. Anything other than 3Ω and 2.5Ω is the luck of the draw.

The thing that keeps me messing with these things is that every now and then, I run across one that is outstanding. It works so well that it keeps me searching for either another one like it, or a reason why they can't all be that way. My opinion of outstanding may be completely different to someone else, so I have never recommended them for anyone else.

I've used several different atomizers and cartomizers in the past and still have some. I use them for A-B comparisons with the E2's and try not to be biased with my judgment. I have not compared an outstanding E2 with the eGo cartomizer or the latest Joye 510 cartomizers yet, so I only have the opinions of others to go by at the present time. So far, I have had no desire to go back to any of my other stuff for actual use.

So sweet tweet tweet, I really regret that your experience has not been a good one. I'd like to find out if you got a really bad batch though. If you have not already done so, try leaving all pieces out and fit it with your favorite drip tip. Then vape it in a vertical position from an open reservoir. If the vapor is still lacking, then I don't know what's wrong with those things.

Thanks for the review Katya. I'm still planning on waiting a couple of months for the E2s to settle down after initial production runs and for the supply channel to get flushed and then I'll actually try a box... (and maybe by then the world's supply of superlatives will have recovered somewhat from being drained by the other thread :)).

For now the genuine Joye 510 cartomizers are doing wonderfully for me. I should mention again the import of that event (direct result of this thread). I was only managing with mainly kr808d1s @ 6v -- even with all the stuff getting incinerated inside of them. Then I started having a hard time finding 3.0 - 3.2Ω ones that wouldn't trip my cr2's in the BB. Now I'm back to 3.7v, stuff isn't getting charcoaled, battery management is orders of magnitude better, and I'm able to order off the shelf stuff without special instructions. and the vape is even better.

I had some outstanding E2 carto (both regular and XL) and some soso E2 cartos. Again quality control seems to be the problem.

Any thoughts on IKenVape cartos btw? Sorry if this has already been posted.I see there are lr 510 cartos. I tried SLB 510 cartos back in June and was pretty impressed.

Thank you so very much for all your help. I'm going to try a drip tip, I'm just worried about breaking another cup.

Yeah, you're probably right. I was just so curious. I'm really beginning to believe that all that those fillerless cartos need to be perfect is just a little filler. I think I'm going to try the ptb mod. I just need to find a place that sells that Lipton tea. I'm not anywhere near a Walmart...

Hello, Zelda! Got some news for you, straight from the horse's mouth. Isaac says that LR 510 cartos (Platinum) run around 2.3-2.5Ω. The Gold ones are 3.5Ω, and the SLBs are 3.0Ω.

But he's got a new carto, a giant kr808, that holds 54-70 drops (not sure which:D):

IKV MEGA KR-808 Cartomizer

I just had to order some of each. I'll keep you posted.

Just register as a new member (cartokiller maybe?) and we wont tell anybody. Make sure you don't use the same avatar.

Did you order some Platinum? The thread looks like the Tru-vaper & AZ cartos. The only difference is the Platinum color.
Is there any coupon codes for Ikenvape?

I got two of each kind (Platinum, Gold, SLB) and, of course, four jumbo kr808s. Just for fun. The coupon code is ECF5.

That covers them all.
They all say "Eligible for FREE Shipping". Did you get a free shipping?
My money been funny lately.

Free shipping is over $100. So no, I didn't get it, but he offers 1st class USPS shipping. And the nice thing is that you can order a couple of cartos if you just want to give them a try. You don't have to buy 5-packs.

Hey Katya thanks for the info. I did go to theIKenVape website and read some info. Will be trying them all out especially the new KR808. My Ego charger is busted so I won't be atrying the 510s out for a little while.

I'll also order a few SLB 510s to see it it's as good as I remember.

I think it's great you can order cartos individually at IKEN - always appreciated that feature on his site.

I have some LR Boges 510 on the way - can't wait to give them a try.

One thing I'm been fiddling around with on the regular E2s is using a 901 whistletip catridge or 510 catridge as a mouthpiece. I take out all the inner rings and and use the mouthpiece. Haven't decided yet whether it's an improvement.
