Well this isn't up to date with this thread, but is sort of a solution to this topic :D (pages and pages back :D)

I guess it could be a 'quick fix' to any cartos that you have laying around :D ... you know until the holy grail comes along

Thanks LGD, I have a ton of old 808's laying around, and I have been wanting to try dripping. Would you say its similar in flavor/production to using an actual atomizer?

Do you have any tips on how to avoid disturbing the inner sock material?

Not exactly, but pretty darn close (depending on your set up and preference). I would definitely say, especially with the old kr8's, that the flavor is improved over having the filler in it (IMO).

I would suggest with the Kr8's be gentle and sort of twist and pull, watching the sock to determine which direction of twisting. using a dental tool/pick would be ideal.

Thanks! I gave it a shot today and wrecked a couple, but I got a few to work. I wasnt really too happy with the results, but I think I am burning something inside some of them. I also pulled apart one of my CE2's to find the wick inside of the coil badly burned... I was pretty disappointed by that, but it pretty much confirms what I thought was happening with some of those.

I really like the idea of cartomizers, but I am starting to feel like they are just good for when someone if out and about or just starting out because the pre-filled ones are really easy to use.
They are actually what got me to try e-cigs for the second time after not liking my original 4081 kit way back when.

I know this thread is about burning cartos, and I have noticed it on every type I have tried so far to some extent. I wish there was something I could fill with a ton of juice and be on my way. Maybe Ego-T?

Boge sent me an email. They are working on LEO cartos. something like a 4ml capacity.

I asked them about EGO cartos, and was told that their engineers are working on it.

I think Bauway has their own version of an EGO carto also. They dont really want to just send me a few samples though, they want me to place a large order.

And to tell you the truth, holy grail or not, i dont feel like I need a different carto. The BOGE 2ohm 510s perform great, and even I have been getting an easy 3-4 days (@1-2ml/day) out of them before they either decrease in performance, or I burn them.

The EGO CE2s look fun though. I'll have to try them ;)

PutOut:
I for one, would probably smoke before switching back to atomizers. It wasnt until I switched to cartos, that I finally kicked the habit anyhow.

From what I've been reading, it's quite possible.

I agree. I got my 510 Boge (2.0Ω) from Liberty Flights today and I'm impressed. They work better than anything I've used on my eGos for far. I love the performance, taste, vapor production, everything. I'll report when I have a little more time, I'm really busy ATM, but I think I've just found a new favorite.

I've been using the new Bloog Maxx Fusion cartos on my eGo and as long as I find one somewhere around 2.5 ohms I'm in vaping heaven. The 3'ish ohm ones don't seem to pair well with the eGo's regulated 3.3v output. And the 2.0'ish ohm ones are a little hot for my tastes, plus I've found that they tend to eat through juice.

I used Bloogs on my eGo too, especially those lower resistance ones, when I was testing them. I prefer the Boges. They taste cleaner, just like my atties or better, and I'm not getting any burnt taste at all, as long as they are kept wet, which, unfortunately, was not the case with the Bloog cartos.

As of today, my favorite cartos for the eGo/Tornado batteries are Boge 2.0Ω (Liberty Flights, LiteCig) and 2.5Ω Platinum Premium 510 cartos from IkenVape (I'm sure they are made by Bogetech, even though they are not listed as Boge). And they are threaded for 510, no adapter needed. I like them better than my eGo mega atty, better than genuine Joyetech cartos, better than Joye 510 atties. And they don't run very hot, which is a surprise, considering that they all measure 2.0-2.1Ω.

Have you tried them?

Based on one of your previous posts I ordered a few IkenVape Platinum Premium 501 cartos.

They're in the mail on their way to my door right now. :)

Good, I hope you like them. Let us know, will you?

I'm really enjoying those 2.0Ω ones. I don't know if the feeling will last; sometimes cartos seem to work great out of the box and then, well, something goes wrong; they don't last long enough, or they burn, or the taste changes dramatically.
