After reading Kent's opinions on the Ego atomizer I realized that's probably what I should be trying next. So full circle around and back to atomizers.

So if you're going to go back to the old atomizer.... wouldn't the logical choice (funds permitting) be the eGo-T configuration?

Good morning, everybody! Enjoying the snow? Must be beautiful out there. I envy you... how romantic. We're almost in the eighties again; so boring. :)

I'm waiting for my tankomizer and enjoying Isaac's Premium Platinum cartomizers. Very nice, they look and behave like the Boge cartos (I'm pretty sure they are Boges, come to think of it, just tweaked by Isaac); 2.5Ω, 510 silver thread, no burning, work great out of the box. No tools required, Zelda. Just fill and vape. May become my new favorite. I've been using one for three days now, which is my personal best. The taste is going south and the juice blown out through the battery end is looking dark, so I guess it's time to chuck it, but it still works fine. So far so good. I'll keep you posted.

The Boge 510s are really on top of my list. Solid performers and now come in all three "strengths": 3.0Ω, 2.5Ω and 2.0Ω--all work great with the eGo/Riva batteries.

Enjoy your weekend.

You don't need a video. If you have a manual battery you can do it yourself. Just blow instead of suck when you push the button and the vapor will come out at the battery connection.

Tried this on an 808 Trueman horizontal that isn't prone to burns, and it worked great. Burned the gunk right off and had a nice clean vape again!

Hey Katya. Sorry about your weather. Yep we felt real romantic here after shoveling over 2 feet of snow on on the sidewalk and 80 foot long driveway with a shovel in the freezing cold(because it was too heavy for the snowblower to work). Much better than a beach on Hawaii.

Thanks so much for the info on the platinum cartos. I saw those and was wondering about them. Off to try them. How nice that I won't have to get the dremmel and the soldering iron and the propane torch.:)

The surprising thing about mine is that it is not gunking up as fast. It is on filling 21 right now since the dry burn and still going. The taste went bad the first time during filling 11.

Yes, I saw that you posted that. Thoughts as to why that may be? I'm stumped.

I have no earthly idea. I just keep smoking the dang thing. On 23 top offs since the dry burn at the present time.

I'm vaping it now on a variable voltage pass through at my sweet spot of 2.8 volts. About 5 minutes ago I picked it up and it was so hot I couldn't touch it. Dumb me didn't know the button was stuck down. I screwed it off the PT, stuck a cool drip tip on it and blew the smoke out of it. It's back working again, just like before.

Really? Does the carto need to be on a dryish side to do it? Does it matter?

If Neo can do it, so can I.

However, I agree with BR's assessment (form the Bloog thread) that the Bloogs have a taste of their own and it becomes apparent when I refill them with my own juices. Bloog juices are rather strong so it's hard to tell at first. There's something in them, an extra flavor that I don't really care for. Makes my refills taste dull or/and my flavors don't taste as they do with other cartos...

I know, Zelda. I had a driveway like that, in West Hartford, Ct, once upon a time. Not quite 80 feet , but it certainly felt like it. I remember it all; the 5-foot snow drifts, the downed power lines, the slippery, narrow country roads. But it was all very... New England quaint.

Now I have to deal with earthquakes, mudslides and brush fires. Nothing is perfect...

Let me know how you like the Platinums. Mine are holding up very well. They do remind me a bit of our old Truemans. I do top off all the time, probably more often than I need to, just in case.

It has to be completely dry. As long as vapor is coming out, the coil will not be hot enough to burn the crud off. The burning crud smokes a bit, but when it is burned off, only hot air will be coming out.

But when I vape my Bloogs even a little dry I get this horrific burnt taste. Are you telling me I have to go through that in order to do the BR Bloog Reverse Dry Burn (BRBRDB for short)?

I did read your post. You are so difficult. There's no way to blow out all the juice...

The way I did it took a while. I found that if I let it sit for a while, enough juice would wick for another hit or two. When the taste finally went completely bad, I began blowing instead of vaping. I was testing other stuff at the time, so I had plenty to vape on while waiting for the Bloog to recuperate.

This was all done for a test. I didn't mean for anyone else to try it.

Now I understand. That's a lot of work. And patience. I don't mind the work, but I have very little patience...

How did you even think about doing this? You never cease to amaze me, BR.
