is there anyways to tell that you are close to burning a carto before that "wonderful" taste? i will be getting my bottles of liquid in a couple days and once i do i will be sure to refill often as to avoid this, but until then is there a way to tell before that point? mine still was producing quite a bit of vapor then all of a sudden. oh my. one of the grossest most unforgettable tastes ive even had to experiance. this happened this am and i can still taste it in my mouth. that carto went flying into the trash!

You just have to pay attention to vapor production and notice when it starts dropping off. It takes a bit of practice to recognize it, so be prepared to burn a couple while you're learning. It usually won't go from great vapor to burn. There will be a transitional period of several hits where you get weak vapor and an airy draw. That's your cue to top off and you need to learn how to recognize it. After awhile, it'll be second nature and you'll be able to do it in the dark.
Once you start vaping more you will notice. It will take time to get use to. For me if it starts to taste funny i just change the cartomizer
I don't give mine a chance to burn. I always keep a couple extra filled cartos with me for just that reason. As soon as I even think I taste a drop in flavor or vapor, I change 'em out. So far I haven't had to experience that awful taste.

I can usually always tell when i get a cortomizery (grimm greens word) taste. Seems like your flavor is a bit distorted and then i add a few drops.
I've have been unable to tell when that change in vapor production takes place, so now I just top up at every opportunity.
Unless you find your rhythm, be careful of flooding. Can make a mess.
First thing you will learn to notice is the flavor will drop off...next will be vapor production starting to drop...then the dreaded burnt taste.
Hi !! first of all to avoid burning any carto, You have to start it correctly ..open it and full the plastic cap with juice, then push the connector end slowly ..it wil drink the juice ...repeat this 3 times and finish by pressing what stayed in the cap in the Drip end, carefully to dont fill the center tube ..then it may leak a little let it leak in a towel and let it have a rest for few minutes, then mount a drip tip and pomp a little without applying current ...and it should be all ready to vape in peace ( maybe no chain vaping on the first minutes ^^ ) for the next fills by the drip end i usually push a tooth pick in the center tube, so i can fill quietly ...with this You should finish with smoking the " cotton " ..i miss the word for this material inside

thank you! until about 5 mins ago when i got my mail i was using prefilled cartos. i was waiting for my mail to get in. i just filled all my emptys besides that one that i threw (yuck can still taste that) using that method.
Here's a vid detailing how to fill cartos the first time. First fill is VERY IMPORTANT otherwise dry filler will burn as you found out. Key when pushing carto down into condom of juice is to do it VERY SLOWLY.

yeah i watched a couple videos last night about how to fill them so that i would be ready when i got my liquid. i believe i did fairly well for my first time filling lol. i went very very slowly until i got the little bubble up top. smoking one of them now. seems i did good. i also took my carto filling time to give my children and their friend a lesson about what i have and what it can do if they touch it. make everything a learning experiance for everyone i guess.
Cool. I started on cartos, next XL cartos, next tank+ carto and now Clearomizers and they've finally gotten close to perfecting the delivery system IMO. The real turning point was when I began using tanks. Fill them up twice a day. cartos lasting 2 weeks. Good luck...When I began I burnt out 4 cartos and shorted one battery so....

next month sometime im going to be ordering the x2 batt for the volt and the x2 clearomizers for it. but with vacation coming up money is quite tight for now. hopefully no more burnt cartos for me. GAG
If you haven't thrown that burnt carto out, save it. Your can remove the filler and use it to drip test new juices
