Yes, the liquid gets scalding hot. I had some hot liquid leak from an Rda onto my leg almost a year ago and it left a scar where the burn was. I'd recommend that you stop vaping until your lip heals, and, of course, quit picking at it.
Thanks a lot man. I just have this on my lip and it makes me feel better. I’ll try my best to stop the picking

To be honest, when I saw the title of this thread, my mind went directly to a scene of someone vaping an RDA but forgot to put the cover back on first. But I have to say if it's a disposable and its spitting very hot liquid, dispose of it, post haste. Get something more reliable.

Been vaping a while now and it’s mostly disposables.

I got some spit back and my lips became burnt. Not healing because I’ve been picking on find scab.

Question: is this normal? Can the hot liquid actually burn lips?
When the wicking material becomes overheated, it can cause this. It's unadvisable, and avoided by switching out hardware regularly to accommodate cooling, changing how you vape, ie, drawing air through the coil after letting go of the button, temperature control, or other means.

I've literally done this. It does not burn lips, correct. Burns the hell out yer nose and sinuses though. Make yer eyes water.
back in the late '90s, there was a prescription smoking cessation product that was used this way, had the same effect. Same with nasal snuff.

Oh, the joyous memory I have of actually sniffing up a large amount of the Scotch Snuff. Tobacco flour is what it was. It was way worse that taking a vape up my nose.

I'm unsure of the provenance of the snuff I tried, I recall it came in a almost school bus color tin tho, and yes, tobacco flower, fine grain, I'd almost call it tobacco dust. I could see how it could have been appalling back in the 17th century, when tobacco was actually expensive.
