Hello everyone and thanks for all the usefull information provided here. I started out with a cig2o and recently upgraded to a 1100mah kgo kit. I LOVED my kgo....till I burnt it. I wanted to make sure I wouldn't get left without in case the atty gave out so I ordered a smoktech 2.5 dual coil atty. well, I decided to try it out and when I hit my button with a fully charged battery it simply flashed several times on the LED and did nothing. After that the LED would simply blink once and nothing would happen. Tried my old atty, nothing. Put it on the charger and all the indicator LED's went out. I tested it with my meter and sure enough I had continuity between the center and the threads. A dead short. I contacted mad vapes a couple times via email but can't get a response (that's where I got the atty). So my question is this, if I order me another kgo kit what atty's are safe to use on it? Or if I ddecide to go with cartomizers what resistance would you recommend? I don't want to just start experimenting and burning 30 dollar kits. Thanks for the help

I'm a little confused - is this the atty you bought?

If so, that shouldn't have harmed your battery at all.

I would try "resetting" it. Put it on to charge until it shows fully charged (I assume there is green led that comes on when it's done?).

Good luck and I'd see if you can post here if you don't get an answer from them, sounds like it was a bum atty :(

Edit: Just saw you took apart the battery :D Still get hold of madvapes

Hi
A 2.5 dc atty shouldnt fry a kgo, it sounds like you might have gotten juice between the positve and negative terminals on the connector which caused the protection circut to trip. I dont konw how much experience you have had with lion batterys but hard wiring an atty to one could cause it to burn or even explode. I have done it on purpose a couple of times with rc car batteries to show people who didnt believe it could happen.
