The question I have involves the Protank II. I've replaced coils and primed them as well bit still get kind of a burnt taste or smokey flavor dispite that's not what my juice is. Any answers on what that might be?
The iTaste is calibrated in "Mean" wattage, so 7 watts is actually almost 9 watts. So they simply run to hot for some types of toppers.

The Istick uses mean, not RMS, so at lower settings it does run "hot." Less of a difference if you run it closer to the top end. (And an issue that was really kind of surprising when it came out.... as in "why the heck did they use such old tech??")
One way of compensating for that is to run a high Ω coil.
