As I'm learning and growing, and continuing to read and study with the guidance of the Holy Spirit through prayer, something keeps nagging at me in the back of my mind.

What about YAHWEH? The Father? Have we excluded the Father from our worship? This is bothering me, and I'm looking for greater understanding.

Jesus is our redeemer, our King of Kings and Lord of Lords, but what about the Father?

What are your thoughts about this?

I know what you mean, Lisa. We are always learning and growing. You're not the only one, my dear Sister.

Yahweh means 'The Lord is One.' I learned this in a Carman song. :) Once again, we need to look to Jesus for example. Jesus prayed to God the Father.....not Himself nor His mother or anyone else. "The Father and I are One." I pray to God the Father, I worship God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. I can get so wrapped up in Jesus, because I know Him the best. I only know Him through the Holy Spirit. I love and adore all 3, but I talk with Jesus, because He died for me. He knows how I feel as He's been there. I have a story to tell when I get back from the dentist. DON'T TOUCH THAT DIAL! Ha! Who has a dial on their tv anymore! We've come a long way, baby!

Well, yes and no, Lisa. I feel that way myself sometimes. We are supposed to honor the Father and shouldn't forget him. But the only way to the Father is through the Son. And they are One, so it isn't like we are ignoring the other. If you have seen the Son, you have seen the Father.

I am just now getting back with ya'll. Okay, let me set the stage. Many years ago when my son was in his mid twenties, he worked for a furniture manufacturing company not too far away from here and he would meet with his National Guard once a month locally. So I got to see him every month. Well, he took a job in Wisconsin, but wasn't moving from Tupelo for a couple of months. It was killing me.....that far away....couldn't just jump in the car and get there in a few hours, ya know? The burden of his moving out of the state was becoming heavier and heavier on me, until one day when I making my bed and I just fell to my knees boo hooing saying, "I can't carry this anymore!" Then a voice I knew well said to me, "I understand. I had to be without My Son for awhile." My mouth fell open and I knew in an instant that God the Father, the Creator of universes, listening to everyone else on the planet, loved me enough to hear me and comfort me. He knew how I was feeling as God the Father had his heart broken too. And as sure am I'm typing these words right now, I was okay with my son going to anywhere. Plus, I've kept that ever since in my heart. When I see my son, it's great, and yes, I wish I could see him more than once every couple of years, but his life is in Colorado and mine is here AND GOD HAS IT ALL UNDER CONTROL.

Jesus said to ask for anything in His Name and it shall be given....or something like that. That's why we pray in Jesus' Name........."for I ask in the Loving Name of Jesus...Amein." That is why we do that, but I guess everybody knows that....huh..

That's as bad as the time I was quoting a Scripture to one who wasn't saved and my brain left me! I said, "He will lift us up on wings of eagles....to.....to.......uh......fly over the heads of all the turkeys!" I felt like a jerk!

He took the time to talk to me! Little ol' me.....a nothing, really. He is so awesome!

I guess I just expect Him to answer me when I call out.....I'm His child and I needed help from my Heavenly Daddy. I've been that way since I got saved. I expect the miracle, I expect His help, and I love that He loves me enough to help with a broken heart. Lil ol' me. I look upon Him as my Heavenly Daddy, and Daddy's take care of their kids. I used to tell Mom, "Ye have not, because ye ask not.":)
