Button Top 18650

I recently bout a few mods that need a button top 18650 to make connection. I used a magnet to check to see if the devices worked. But I'm not very comfortable using this method. I'm skittish when it comes to batteries. Can someone recommend a good button top 18650? I would greatly appreciate any advice concerning this matter.

I got mine at rdt vapor and got aw 18650 for my provari. I dont think i could do the magnet thing at all.

I pretty much only use AW 18650s...have had no issues with them.

What kind of mod and how low are you planning to build? 9 times out of 10, you can get a flat top battery to work when they say you need a button top.

Using magnets on flat top batteries is considered to be an unsafe battery practice. In fact, Provape (manufacturer of the Provari 2.5) actually said that owners would void their warranty if they did this in a Provari.

I agree with the suggestions for AW 18650 button tops. You can also find Orbtronic 18650 IMR 3000mAH 20A batteries in either flat or button tops, another very good battery.

I agree that magnets on a battery aren't safe. All it takes is a crack in the wrap and up it goes, hopefully not in your face or pocket. They were a workaround in early days but not necessary now. Just get button top batteries and use the flat tops on mods designed for them.
