In the UK we have consumer protection for any goods bought online.
If you receive a faulty item (or even just change your mind and decide you don't want it) then it is the responsibility of the seller to pay return postage or to collect the item.
A purchaser is entitled to cancel the transaction with their credit card company and notify the seller that the item requires collection.
That's probably why everything in the UK is 50-100% more expensive than the same item in the USA. We all pay in the end.

i dealt with a company called "Castle Creations" for my R/C gear many times. they have always taken my card info, sent a new one out with a return slip, and i send the old one back , and my card is charged if i dont send the old or defective one back. and i will also agree that i SHOULD NOT be responsible for paying shipping on defects so obvious as oozed glue and crooked screens. i understand that fully test firing every unit may be way to time consuming for some of these low employee count sites but, check to see if its atleast in the box and not smashed..... and you can avoid unhappy customers like these....

I absolutely agree with Azmo..shipping is something you pay when you purchase your item, along with the purchase price. It is under that assumption that you will get what you paid for. Not, receive an item, all excited and psyched, only to see that it is defective or not what you paid for. Why should you have to pay MORE, for their mistake? :2c: It is your money, and the vendor is the one who wants your business.
If they want to continue to keep you as a customer, I would think that..in the very least, they could mail you a return label. regardless of the price of shipping. .it is simple principal. Also, I dont know about you, but alot of times, If I order a substantial amount, I am waiting on it...NEEDING that order. meaning, I am using old equipment, or running low on juice. Therefore, upon receiving crappy stuff..I am only prolonged in getting what I need. It is just not right and I think all vendors should replace faulty equipment. (upon verifying through pics or whtvr) but...if only.. LOL
the world would be in technicolor and everyone would get serenaded by the lollipop guild.. :w00t:
