too high i bet for those HP 510 cartos from CoV, now you can test.
don't worry, just because you got a DVM everyone will still like you, don't get a pocket protector to carry your Buzz screwdriver though, that might be going too far

Aww Charlie are you afraid I'll turn nerd on yall? LOL

If it's too high for the HP 510's from Bruce wouldn't I be frying them? These cartos are holding up fine, no burnt taste, and they are lasting me a good couple of weeks even without washing. Every couple of days I blow the funky juice out the batt end and keep on going.

I did try to check the ohm on them but I must not be doing it right, I couldn't get a steady read. I set the dvm @ 200ohm, put the red lead to the batt post on the carto and the black to the outer thread. Please feel free to laugh if that is the wrong way

it takes a while for ohms readings to go down to the right reading, it will steady down in a sec or 3. sounds like you're doing it right though hard to keep the proble down making good contact or touching each other.

maybe not fry, just try turning down a turn or two and see how it is, now that you have the meter you can alwase go back to 4.6

Thanks Charlie, it finally settled at 3.2 and 3.3 for the 2 cartos I checked and that is in line for what I expected from the boge. This is not a "dialed intentionally" voltage with the meter. I've tinkered with dialing the voltage up and down since I got my Buzz till I had it where my most used juice tasted best, so I was curious to see what that voltage was. Saw the dvm while I was shopping today so I tossed a $10 bill at it and gave it a home :)

LOL Salem, should we start the Pocket Protector Brigade?

Hi Salem
I just got a couple of xtra large ego cases from GoodP. My buzz fits. A little tight at first but it will work. Also room for other stuff too.

That's a right smart idea Nick! I use the flavor bands on my cartos and never thought of snugging my Elegant cone (808 version of the eGo) down with the band for looks :)

look sa litttle sleeker i think lol

now if they would make a wider carto so it wasnt 7 1/2 inches long it would be great lol

Ok. Is there a secret to turning the voltage screw? I cannot get my to budge and I'm afraid of stripping the head. That little screw driver they sent leaves a lot to be desired. Any suggestions? I think Buzz said the factory setting was around 4.7 and I wanted to turn it down a little. My attys are starting to heat a little too much.
Thanks
wv

I know this sounds silly but make sure you are turning the correct screw. It's not the phillips head screw on the outside of the tube...it's the tiny flat head screw sunken into the little hole on the opposite side. If you get the screwdriver in the slot it should turn ver easily...counter clockwise to decrease voltage :)

Not silly at all. That is what I was trying to turn cause according to the Buzz owner's manual that is the one that they point out. Not only written instruction but a pic also. Thanks, I will try again.

ps Glad I decided to ask before I did any damage. Need my magnifiers to see this.
