How did you repurpose your ashtrays?
Most we tossed but a few we did keep.
The really nice solid glass cigar ashtray I got as a father's day present we now use as a spoon rest on the stove. The big round glass ones that belonged to my wife's Auntie we now use under flower pots. We had two extremely heavy and thick ones made of some type of mineral that are now book ends. We had a couple of art deco ones from the 50's that now serve as change and jewelry holders on our dresser.
As a side note I put my lone zippo, can of fluid, and flints in my "it's going south in a hurry" response bag right beside the forty-five.

Didn't have that many to begin with. A couple are underneath a couple African Violets and the 3rd gets used when I sew for scrap thread bits. It is a big heavy thing that sorta looks like a glass bowling ball with the side out.

It is the other smoking stuff that I haven't found a use for yet... The automatic cigarette making machine, a few boxes of tubes and the little plastic boxes that look like cig hard packs.

Question for everyone....how many of you have joined CASAA ?

We need to be organized to oppose the FDA and various state and local governments that want to crush vaping
and put Cactus Esmokes out of business.
It's free to join (contributions are welcome..:)) and get the latest information on the world of vaping.

It's the first thing I did when I joined ECF. I agree, we need to keep informed about vaping regulations, and to have an organization representing us and giving us guidance on how to fight them!

Now that you mention those cigarette making machines, I think I need to find out how much they go for now, and try to sell them for half price. We have two, and they were expensive!

My husband lost the plastic cigarette boxes, but the ones I had were fancy silver filigree ones. I've kept those for putting little treasures in because they are so pretty.

So, I tried to diy a batch of chocolate the other day. All I had was capella chocolate, coconut, almond. Yuuuuccccckkkkk! Maybe it was to strong. Maybe its just not the flavor for me but this stuff about made me hurl chunks.

I guess I'm going to have to order some Milk Chocolate somewhere. Got any suggestions? I got a chocolate ejuice from my local shop the other day and I absolutely love it. I need to make this stuff myself.

Chocoate seems to be a tricky one.Tfa makes some good ones, these are the only ones i've tried, haven't tried any other brands. The trick to a good chocolate seems to be using a few different ones though, mixing dark chocolate with milk chocolate, etc.

Plus, add some creams, vanillas, and maybe a sweetener. That's what is added to chocolate bars. It might round out the chocolate and other flavors.

The chocolate I like is called Double Chocolate Dark by TFA. I have never been a sweet chocolate or milk chocolate person and tend to lean towards the dark choc or cocoa as in baking cocoa flavor. I have Jungle Flavors Cocoa that isn't bad at all. Flavor West makes a Double Dutch Twister that I think is a white and either dark or milk choc mix. I haven't really used it yet other than in a choc/mint something and it is too creamy in it for me but the flavor of the choc isn't bad at all.

The smell of almond is a turn off for me... same for hazelnut. I like coconut but all aren't created equal. Some tend to get really strong over time in the mix while others fade away. I have Cap coconut and to me, it tends to gain strength over time. Most I think tend to do fruits and creams because they are a lot easier to deal with and probably less failures than chocolate, coffee, or several of the complex tobacco flavors.

The other problem with the choc/nut/coconut thing is that it is one that probably needs at least a week and perhaps as much as a month to become what it will be.

I like the dark chocolate and cocoas too. Milk chocolate is too sweet and almost flavorless for me, and white chocolate isn't even chocolate. So far, the only chocolate flavoring I have is CAP hot Cocoa, because I wanted to do research on which chocolates I would like. I also thought I would be doing another juice order before now, so I thought I had plenty of time to get more.

I'll keep the Double Dark Chocolate in mind. It's one of the ones I was looking at. :)

IMO, chocolates are tricky. try using only 1% or 2% then work up to maybe 4% or 5% if its not strong enough. steeping time will increase the flavor note

Mainly DIY - just getting started with it. I sometimes use them to suck out the last bit in a tank as well.

I just pull the caps off of the flavor bottles off and use a needlesss syringe.
If you're making a 20 or 30ml batch the needle doesnt come in to play as much as if you are making a 3, 5 or 10ml batch as the needle holds a certain amount of flavoring that is not acounted for in the mix.
If you are using very small amounts of one flavor or another for notes, the amount in the needle will throw it off.
try filling only the needle portion and see how many drops it adds to your recipies :2c:

That's been working so far. I was thinking for the future when some of the bigger bottles of PG, VG and nic start getting lower levels. Guess I can transfer to smaller bottles when I get to that point.

I made DIY very simple for myself by making a few bottles of base liquid at whatever PG/VG ratio I want to start with and the nicotine added in.
I use 1ml syringes for flavoring and a 10ml syringe for adding the base liquid.

I add my flavoring first and then squirt the base liquid in, shake and vape or steep and vape EZ PZ
the final mix ratio will depend on how much flavoring you add and wheather its a PG (like most are) or a VG base flavoring. either way a few % up or down is a non factor to me.

walmart and most drug stores will give you the 10ml syringe free for the asking if you go to the druggist and aske them for a "medicine dispensing" syringe for giving your kid liquid tylenol or benedryl

I buy gallon jugs of VG and pour off 120ml from the bottle then pour 120ml of 100% nic and shake, I also do the same w/the PG as well. no muss no fuss. I then pour off into 120ml bottles for DIY projects. the rest stays in a cool dark place until I need more

Transferring to the smaller bottles would probably be a good idea anyway, because there would be less air in them.
