How are things tonight, getting any better?

Yes, much better, thanks! The prayers, well wishes, white vibes, all the wonderful positive thoughts have made a huge difference! Several other smaller fires, close by, were put out in record time, the RV'ers with their 3 campfires wears spotted immediately and extinguished, and a best of all, although the main fire is up to 10,000 acres, evacuations were lifted for a few areas. The winds chilled out, leaving an amazing calm that I know beyond a shadow of a doubt couldn't have happened without everyone's help. The major fires in Trinity, north of us, received a Hail storm!, but also 60mph winds. Hopefully the winds will Backburn and not forward burn.
Please keep doings what you all have been doing, because it's working! I still need to catch up on the news about most of the fires, but the last I heard they were containing them more and more. Here's a link to the calfire updates to scroll through. Current Fire Information

The other day, about a week ago I got up in the morning and could smell smoke pretty strong blowing in from somewhere along with the haze, but never figured out where it was coming from. Checked all the news sites, and found nothing. I never did hear anything about a local fire.

For awhile There were a lot of air advisories, but today I only see this one from San Franciso. Smoke from Mendocino wildfire could affect Bay Area - SFGate Blog

You're probably experiencing Yosemite fire smoke?

It's pure freaky waking up to the smell of campfire smoke and the air around you smothered in smoke. Some days are bright blue sky, other days are horrid with smoke. We drive to the hilltops and look for any new plumes of smoke. It's just like with vapor... fresh exhale is always a purer color as well as "aimed". Because it's a different shade of color/contrast than the hanging smoke clouds, they're fairly fast to spot so far. We also have the scanners turned on. I use Radio Scanner on my phone, free from the google play store. The kids use a different one. This way at least one of us will hear what we need to hear lol.
Yesterday our internet was out for most of the day, scared the vinegar right out of us. Come to find out, our "terminal thingie" just needed rebooted from the server's end. Phew!

Oh! A big shout out to the Louisiana crews who also came! Crews from everywhere! Thank you so much!!

After the last round it's safe to consider it dead. Corbett did ask for the option for reconsideration but she knows what she's up against after not getting enough votes last time around and being squashed between the pro-vaping side and her (former?) ANTZ "friends" that turned on her. She's probably smart enough to not try and push for it again because the outcome would be the same.

HOW TO MIX IT:
Pour all your ingredients over cubed ice (unflavored) in a highball glass and stir well. Or shake.

Like I said, I Don't Drink anymore.

But when I did, I can Recall putting a Drop or Two of Peach or Pineapple into a Blender when making a Margarita or a Daiquiri.

And Strange as it Sounds, putting 2 Drops of Watermelon into a Corona was Actually Quit Good.
