45 degree cutted mesh give me a good U shape. Rolled it as tight as i can and make it fit firmly into the holes give me no leak. Been using this mesh for a month now. :)

A mesh wick can last months if you don't burn holes in it. It will require the occasional dry burn to degunkify it, tho. How often depends on the gunkability of your liquids.

If you have the Kraken clone from fasttech, it is more prone to leaking if left on its side than the original. The original has a smaller diameter fill hole that liquids tend not to find their way out of.

I have the RSST and its a fun one to use... I prefer cotton/silica wick system, easy to change out coils/wicks, no need to empty the tank. With the cotton/silica wick setup, it doesnt leak... once the cotton saturates it "seals" the hole, preventing leaks. Since the cotton stays so juicy, it is like having it in dripper mode.

Even tho the wick holes are threaded I have not had any leaking problems, even with the Fasttech clone. The only beef I have is the screw quality, but it's still working fine. I have mine (which is the only setup I have) setup for dual mode, two coils of 28ga, ten wraps each. 1.3 ohms total. I am also using cotton, and I have extra yarn in the tank so that when it starts getting funky I can just pull it thru and cut the junk off.

Gennies are great and all but from what I've seen it takes a LOT of effort to get it anywhere near as good as kayfun style atty.
The best thing is they pretty much last forever. I recoiled mine about once a month with the wicks 'lasting' for much longer. I never really needed to replace them unless I'm trying something new. A kayfun goes through at least 2 wicks a week.
Get a spare/old toothbrush for cleaning your dryburns.
