Cameras .....

You got it. I'm not saying that pts don't get those things...but they don't get them from the Dr. A Dr who's juggling 15 ER pts is NOT going to have time to hold hands and get cold clothes for their head, call family members, rub their hair, etc. They are ordering tests, reading EKG's/labs/test results, admitting pts, prescribing rx's, and moving on to the next.... But he's got to save face to keep the media off of him and his multi million dollar TV show. It's just not what happens in real life.

Off rant.

Holding a dude's hand, calling his mom, rubbing his forehead. Get the F outta here. But folks will believe that BS. It's laughable.
Isn't hand holding and calling family a job for an orderly. I mean I'm just a firefighter/ paramedic but I've been in my fair share of ER's

Yes but it's an "associate care provider"
Or "CNA" now. :). Ps. The CNA's know the results of the EKG's. They just need a Dr to confirm it. I'll stop before I scare folks.

I find most tv to be silly, in general. Is that an awful generalization? My sister and I got in a heated debate today because she was telling me some chick went to all the exotic locations the GOT filmed. I said that was stupid and wasteful. To each their own, I guess. But if you ever catch me that obsessed with a tv show, please pull me back into reality.

You forgot to that if the ER is short staffed they will put the paramedics/emt's to work till the docs get free
