I have never used a bottom feeder mod and have been looking into a few including the Vapage, can any of the members that are currently using one recommend one that works well for me?..It would be greatly appreciated
reosmods.com Best there is.
Nothing wrong with the Vmod XL.... Been a workhorse for over a year now.... Not knocking the REO, but the Vmod is a good introduction feeder. I laugh at the responses for REO's, that they hold a good resale value, but even what some people are asking for in the classifieds is still too much IMO.... Still don't like the fact that Rob is still charging everyone a premium price for tooling on every unit he sells.... Anyone with an engineering or manufacturing background knows that an REO Grand only costs about $50 for parts and labor!!! Markup is way too high.... If you don't value your APV's and just drop or throw them around, I would suggest, (yes suggest), you get the REO. If you take care of your APV's, then you could save some cash and get a good APV in a Vmod XL.... Don't let all the, "its a plastic APV", comments dissuade you. It is a good solid mod when assembled.... Don't hate!!!!
Rookie noob here with a few observations:

Translation: gonna go for a boat ride down the croc infested amazon, you don't need a boat, just get an inflatable pool raft, you know an introductory device, to see if you like it.
And you are knocking the REO as well as the guy who makes em. See below.

Im laughing too, but more at your statement. Several things come to mind here: the first, using your math, would put the value of a vmod at about a $1.99?
The second, many people understand that in life, you have to pay for quality. Just speaking in vaping terms,
How bout juices? Unflavored nic costs pennies a ml, why do people pay $16 an up for 30ml when you can get 100ml of unflavored for $4.99? Oh, you have to pay the team of nuclear physicist to mix in flavor that is also pennies a ml.
I (and a WHOLE lot of others) understand that a REO is a handmade, nearly indestructible device made right here in the USA and is backed by probably the best customer service and warranty on this planet. Call there, you'll be talking to the dude who makes em, not some voicemail from the company that pimps out disposable Chinese mods.

No hate here bro. Its clear you are as big a vmod fanboy as i am a REOnaut, but I value the hell out if mine PV. Thats why i bought solid ones, cause shizit happens, like dropping em. If vaping was a hobby i might consider paying 50 for 1.99 worth of Chinese parts and labor. But it's not, so I and many others willingly pay for quality USA products from a great dude rather than put faith in cheaply made products with little or no customer service to "save a little money introductory style"
You have definitely never used a REO bro. I'm tempted to send you my blue grand (oh but it was bought as a blem - who would want a blemished mod?)

Hey, you, up there on your high-horse, come down here. We need to talk.
I've owned a VmodXL. I have tried Reos. I like them both for various reasions. The post you lambashed was spot-on IMO. It had opinion that was a bit overboard as to the value placed on the Reos, but cost is a definite component to a purchase. It should be noted that without a bunch of bells and whistles, a bottomfeeder is just a coupla battery contacts, some connectors, a bottle and a button in a box. The quality of the Vmod is on-par with the Reo. Both function akin to one another aside from the tip-and-squirsh/squonk. The Reo is more durable in EXTREME circumstances. Generally, tho, if I'm participating in an extremely rugged enviroment, my PV is in my pocket. I build hardscapes (boulder walls/manufactured stone/outdoor fireplaces/ basically climbing through rocks most days). With that said, my Vmod XL never suffered any catastrophic damage. It got scratched to hell and back, but for ~$50, so what? Had it of been a Reo, I would have been remiss for the abuse I put my Vmod XL through.
Now, my complaint for both Reo and Vmod XL... mechanical. I want a consistent vape. I want certain heat from the time I put a fresh battery in until it's dead. Rob accomodated this with the introduction of the VV Reo. It is good. It is hella expensive. I built my own VW bottomfeeder w/ A7 RBA, so I'm not a fanboy of either PV. Just clearing the air.
To the OP, buy one or both. You will be happy until the battery starts to drop off. Neither are consistent over 8hrs of vaping. Both can be "Kicked" for consistency but with some sacrifice of battery capacity/run-time.
