I don't think its the batteries. Fully charged should be 3.7 volts give or take a few tenths and the output is regulated to about 3.2 ish from my understanding. Even if they were knock offs with out the regulating they can not put out above 3.7 volts. People use the reg 510 atty at 5 volts with out problems as long as they get enough juice to the atty to keep it happy. Have you tried cleaning the atties or trying different carts?

I blew out all the primer and cleaned them with the Crest mouthwash, and one with just warm water. Ive tried different carts, new fillers (blue foam), and rinsing the foam before using. I gave each atty almost a week to make sure it was broken in but nothing changed. The first few hits with a fresh cart dont taste burnt, but is severely lacking in flavor.

Perhaps you should try "dripping" just to rule out that its not simply a wicking issue being caused by your filler/cart choice, the juice itself, or the atomizers your using.

At least that way you can start isolating the issue by means of elimination as you go with dripping being the first to rule out the atomizer.

The battery should/can not be the bad taste issue.

AH! Problem solved! On accident really... Thanks to smokum I ruled out the atty and focused on the cart. I broke out a new cart and grabbed my foam, which had very limited space to cut a new piece, so it ended up being a little smaller than I usually use. And presto! I totally forgot that the size of the filler makes a huge difference. I feel like I need a good smack to the forehead now. After a year and a half of vaping I make a rookie mistake... repeatedly. Tsk tsk.

I constantly run into flavor/vapor issues as these things just aren't consistant for numerous reasons and/or causes. So I always return to basics and go thru the product of elimination to sort things out (otherwise, I'd constantly be jumping ship and needlessly be spending money searching for a hassle free always the same new toy that just doesn't exist).

Glad to hear you sorted it out !!
