Can I charge my Volt batt with this charger?

Yesterday night I tried charging my manual Volt battery (Kr808d-1 threaded) with my smoketip charger that I use with all my kr808 auto batts but I got worried and unplugged it almost right away. The LED was on and not shutting off. As far as I could tell it was not firing, the button was not being depressed, wasn't getting hot or making any sound....but when I unplugged it the LED light blinked twice, which is what it does when it cuts off firing.

I just recently got this battery in a trade. Does it need its own separate volt charger? I am worried that the LED staying on the whole time it charges could burn out the LED light or worse that its firing the whole time and doesn't seem like it or it just gets damaged in some way. Thanks for any help you can provide!

On a Bloog the LED light stays on while the battery is charging. The light blinks when you take it off the charger. I'm pretty sure it's the same on the Volt since they are both gen. 2 kr808d-1.

Edit: that LED will probably last much longer than the battery.

lol thanks I am not used to my batteries doing that so I was worried. The LED blinks then shuts off when my other batts charge.

The Volt batts led does stay on when charging and typically will shut off when done. Now that doesn't always happen with every charger, so just rely on the light on the charger to tell you when it is fully charged

ALL of the manufactures suggest not charging batteries with any other charger than the one ment to be used with a specific battery. You may damage your battery or WORSE.
