I currently only have a noisy lovebird. I've had lots of pets over the years. My children and I had border collie while they grew up. Talk about smart dogs! We would take him to the dog park, and he would attempt to herd all the other dogs into a group. If there was a confrontation between two other dogs, Cody would be right there to break it up. We all really miss him; he passed from old age a year ago.
I've kept many aquariums back in the day. They are extremely relaxing to watch the little underwater environment that you create. It's like another world where you can escape from your daily troubles. I had salt water setups. I even had an octopus that a friend named Scrotum Head. Another very intelligent creature. Unfortunately, they don't live long in captivity.
I've had a talking Blue Front Amazon parrot. Had a 30 word vocabulary with about 10 different phrases. My biggest regret with pets, unfortunately. I went through a pretty rough time during a particularly difficult divorce, and I was guilty of neglect. I came home from work one day and Koko was hanging upside down on a perch in her cage. She was dying. It must have been a few days since anyone had fed or given her water. She was dead within a few minutes of finding her. So sad, and I still feel extremely guilty to this day.

Edit: Do many of you have Facebook? Just curious. Never had the inclination to open my own account. But I've had many members here who have PM'd me with questions about vaping who have asked if I had a Facebook account. I did have a pretty long chat session with one member on either Mumble or Skype the other night, and that was much easier to communicate than through PM's here.
