I got the AW IMR 1600mAH with my REO and it doesn't offer enough power for me. The voltage drops way too fast for my liking.

I wonder getting a battery with higher capacity (such as 2200 mah) will prolong the useful life (voltage from 4.2V to 3.7V). I also think I ruined one of my batteries by vaping until it hit 2.5V. Now it won't even charge correctly. Speaking of charging, I also want to get a good charger. The charger I have now is one of those cheap Chinese generic "li ion" chargers that only charges at 400 mA.

I want a charger that can charge my batteries faster, and can charge multiple cells at the same time. That way, I'll never run out.

I went to battery plus today and got a Tenergy Li Ion protected battery for emergency use, and it's so long that it's hard to take out of the REO once put in, so I don't think I'll be using that very often.

I'm thinking about getting this battery:
18650 IMR Panasonic Battery CGR18650CH 10A High Drain Rechargeable Cell - Free Shipping

It's made in Japan, so the quality should be better than the Chinese ones. what do you think?

BTW, if you are going to recommend me a battery and charger, I prefer them to be at the same store, so I can buy it together, thx

Please dont use batteries in your mod that compress the spring . You need the room for the battery to drop Your asking from trouble using a battery that is to long for the mod . I swear by aw imr batteries carry a spare with you if one isn't enough

Hey, that's a good point. Thanks for the reminder. I will never use long cells again.

Just got a NiteCoreI4 and some Panasonic 2200mah IMRs. I will be using those in addition to my two AWs. But 2 cells definately isn't enough.

thx

As far as chargers go, I ABSOLUTELY love the EFest Luc Chargers...

    2 bay- Efest LUC Charger

4 Bay- Efest LUC V4 - Four Bay LCD Charger

The 2 Bay was the first charger I ever bought, and to this day I still have it and it still works a treat. I never felt the need to get a 4 bay charger, because even having usually 3-5 devices setup, I never felt like this charger couldn't keep up. But, as I got more devices, some days Id have even more than 5 devices setup, and so, on some days, I never was waiting on a battery, but I was getting a little "charge queue" waiting for batteries to go into the charger. So I figured Id get a 4bay.

Now with my 4 bay Luc, Im all set. Charges VERY fast, especially when you're putting batteries in at 3.6-3.8v. Honestly, even having always 4, sometimes 5 or 6, devices setup, I actually havent filled up all four bays at once out of neccesity. Sometimes Im like, alright, Ill just give every device a new battery regardless, but if Im changing them as they need it, I still only usually have 2 bays being used, sometimes 3.

Nice feature on the Luc 4Bay, it has three charge levels, .5amp, 1amp and 2amp, AND its user selectable. The Luc 2bay, will charge at .5a and 1a, but its automatically selected based on the battery being charged.

The LCD readout on both chargers, shows the current voltage of the battery, as well as a visual indicator of charge level, and a charging status indicator. Both of these chargers charge VERY fast, and both of them can handle up to the big 26650 batteries, and down to the small 10440s, WITHOUT having to use any spacers or anything.

The NItecore Intellicharge i4 is also a great charger, I have it as a backup to my Efest Luc V4. I can only comment on its reputation, as I only charged one battery with it to make sure it worked.

    Battery test-review 18650 comparator

Mah is measured as how long it takes to drop all the way to 2.5 volts so a higher mah is not good value to use. The new Sony VTC5 and the new LG batteries are getting good reviews but I've not see any test curves to know how fast they drop from 4.2 volts.

I'd recommend the Sony vtc5 (2600 mAh) and the LG he2 (2500 mAh) as well (I don't know if the Reo takes flat top batteries, if not that might be a problem). From the tests I've seen (sorry, I on the mobile so I don't have the link at hand. It's a German site) they both pretty much win over any other batteries at an amp draw of 2, 3, and 5 (and above). They have more juice in the 4.2-3.7 region than batteries rated for higher capacities. As for the charger, I've pretty much only used the Nitecore i2. Been really happy with it. Many seem to recomen xtar chargers, and the second version of Efests luc chargers have gotten good reviews.

If your feeling like the aw imr 1600 is too weak clean your mod. File the contacts and apply noalox. I'd pretty much bet my paycheque that's tour issue.

I think the op isn't saying they aren't getting a satisfying vape from a 1600mah, it's that the sweet zone of 4.2 - 3.7 volts does not last long enough.

I have a 3 week old grand and am having the same issue. I have been spoiled by my VV grand. I bought the mech grand as I wanted a copper vein reo, and thought Rob wasn't making vv grands anymore. A week after I got my mech grand I saw a copper vein vv on the reo site (drats).

But I think the low drop mod will fix most of my issues...but would like that sweet spot to last longer. I vape my vv grand at 4.3v on a 1.0ohm coil.

Yeah, that's what I was trying to say. I looked at the curves for voltage vs mah for 18650 batteries and here is my conclusion: The battery capacity is rated from 4.2V to 2.5 or 2.7 V. So if a battery say 1600 mah, that's how much "juice" it has for voltage to go from 4.2V to 2.5 or 2.7V. But by the time you get to 3.5V, 80% or 90% of the juice is already gone. If you keep on using it, the voltage will plummet from 3.5V to 2.5V.

I also noticed this trend when I charged my battery yesterday. One of my cell was at 2.5V, and it didn't take long to get it to 3.5V. But from 3.5 V and up, the voltage increased at a slower rate. I measured the voltage after each half an hour of charging.

So in conclusion: a higher battery capacity should equates to a longer "sweet spot" from 4.2V to 3.7V.

That may be your conclusion but as stated many times in this an other battery threads, that is not always the case based on studying different types of batteries as they discharge.
