sinse it has a resistor would it not drop the Vs to a safer voltage?
sinse a 3.0V fully charged is 3.4V so X2 that 6.8V the resistor makes it work at 5.5V right ?
a 3.7V fully charged is 4,2 so X2 8.4V with the resistor it should drop to
7.1V... is that still to much for the atty?

i think for a 901 its too much anything over 4 is too much for a 901 imo
but a 510?

Will it work. Yes
Will you go through more atty's that way. yes
your measurements are close, the "fully charged" output of the batteries doesn't last that long mind you.

I have heard quite a few people say that went through atty's like they were going out of style using 2 3.7v batteries.

thanks Gibby
i was just wondering since you can find 3,7V pretty cheaply and they are protected mostly....

the only 3.0V batt that i found to have a PCB are the Tenergy 900mAh ones
but they are weird, they have a FET top drop the voltage and it takes 12mx before it kicks in , they also need a 4.4V charger aparently the 0.2 is to compensate for the FET
the only prob i found with them is that they are deff not 900 mAh

The general consensus has been to use the ones that come with the prodigy. The other 3v blue tenergy's have a different max output when fully charged and have caused problems for a few people, blowing atty's inconsistent flavor etc etc.. best bet is just to stick with the grey/yellow ones.
