Hi All,

I want to make a 510 "magnum" style pv. Here is what I would like to do. Please let me know if this is possible and if so what problems would I encounter. If it is possible, how to go about building it.

Ok...

I have one of the "magnum" flashlights and I would like to use the 3xAAA battery pack that it comes with and use some Ultrafire 10440 AAA 3.6v bats I have for my e-cigars. I would also like to use a 510 atty. Some sort of led would be nice too.

Am I way off trying to do this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Brian

Can you do this with a 510? Yes.
Can you use 3 10440 batteries in series? NO. You would be putting more than 12 volts to the atty with fresh batteries. The coil would light up super bright and burn out immediately.
You could replace the three AAA batteries with one 10440, but would have to modify the battery carrier so that you had continuity (definitely not worth it, IMO)
If you just follow the magnum directions but substitute a 510 connector, everything will work fine.
