Can you smell the vapor?

I have been using several liquids with different taste, and although I can taste the flavor, I can't smell any of them. Does vapor produce any odor or aroma? I've asked several people (non-smokers) that were around me when I was vaping, and all except one could not smell a thing. But one would consistently smell the vapor and it was not a good smell.

I prefer to use liquid that doesn't product any odor, especially at work, but I am just not sure what that liquid is.

What is your experience with vapor odor? Can you smell it?

9 times out of 10, my fiance, who is very sensitive to smell (and rabidly anti-smoking) can't smell a thing.

Only when I've used fairly stout flavors like Coconut can she smell anything, and she actually liked how it smelled.

My wife has said that if she sits rit next to me and sticks her head in the cloud she can smell it alittle bit, but once the cloud is gone so is the hint of smell.

I've been vaping for 10 days and my wife says she can't smell anything from my ecig I use menthol and cherry flavors and her mom says she cant smell anything either.

My daughter says the car smells like a candy shop when I vape in it. And she can smell it in the house also.

My kids can smell it and sometimes identify the flavor the first few exhales if they are close or we're in the car. Most young or super sensitive people have told me they can smell just a hint of something when I first start if they are close by. Older people usually say they smell nothing. Some of them have asked for me to blow it straight at them and so far only report a slight minty smell from my menthol, but no other flavors. Those that have smelled anything say it smells good, but is brief and does not linger.

The only person who has ever said there was any objectionable smell is my DH, but he hates everything. He even complains about shampoo. Even so, he finds any smell from my vaping far more preferable to my analog smoking.

I smoke menthol/mint, coffee/cappuccino and caramel/toffee/RY flavors.

my wife tells me they leave a very slight odor. then yesterday i started smoking the ry4 and she smelled that...she loves the smell...caramel

Tips for dealing with difficult places :

Never ask anyone unless they are 100% trustworthy if they smell anything.

There is always _someone_ who will get a kick out of telling you they smell it - even if they don't - yep, they exist.

If they can see it, they can smell it.
Be seen to chew fruit flavoured chewing gum.
Wear perfume.
Vape in loos.

My daughter says the house smells very slightly of toffee apple. This is preferable to 48 years of tobacco smoke.

Hubby has been vaping Raspberry. At the casino, where smoking is allowed, he had several comments about how is smelled nice and a little fruity.

if I forget to open the windows when I leave in the morning, I can smell it in my house when I get home. It smells just like it does in the bottle-I don't mind it.

My boyfriend mentioned to me he could smell one time when I was vaping in the car. I don't believe it's a strong smell because I'll vape at work when no one's looking and haven't heard any comments!

Most people say they can't smell anything but some tell me it smells like cotton candy. If anything, they may smell a sugar smell.

Yeah, I've had people tell me that it smells like cotton candy if I blow it in their face.

The only flavor that I can actually smell is Risky Juice. I actually couldn't smell it the first few times I vaped it though. The first time I tried it was at Spikey's place, and I remember her practically drooling over the smell when I was vaping it, and she ended up caving in and vaping some because of the sweet smell, even though she's allergic to PG, lol.

I went out with my two sisters the other night though and my older sister kept complaining about the smell no matter what flavor I used, and she's a smoker and doesn't normally have a good sense of smell, so I found that pretty weird. My non-smoking sister couldn't smell anything though. Maybe there's a gene that makes you more susceptible to smelling something in the e-liquid, and only my older sister has it because she has a different father.
