Oak's also starting to learn how to pull. I'm getting a dog scooter in the spring. In the mean time I bought her this to learn with. Works great. She also pulls a sled full of fire wood at my friend's place on a regular basis. Loves it.

Kayla, two year old Miniature American Eskimo. The previous owners of Kayla posted her on local ad as stated that the BF had allergies to the dog. We later found out that it was the GF and BF who wer disputing over her and he did not like her as thought his dogs were better. Kayla was with her first owner for two years (the GF) who sent her to obedience school, kept on top of all shots etc.

Bottom line Kayla is now in a loving, warm home and is an extremely excellent dog!

Another MAE, wow what are the odds? :)

Is it a pain in the winter with that white coat and our slushy brown streets?

Not at all a PITA given that we are having a great winter and this being the first that we have had her. Her coat has two layers and she loves the snow but hates the rain. In the spring she will get trimmed down to first coat so she can handle our summer temps. If it gets too warm inside she sits by the sliding doors and cools off.

I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.

We used to have quite the menagerie at one point with 4 dogs, 14 cats, a rabbit, a turtle, several hundred tropical fish and a very old Plecostomus. (an algae eater that grew really big) Trimmed down to a current fighting weight of just 6 cats and 2 dogs. Just lost the oldest cat a few days after arriving here. She had been with us since 1988. I miss that damned cat more than I thought I would...

Awesome pet pics folks! Cheers for the thread Phil!

This is Mad Max and Psycho Bill, both passed away in the last year of old age :(

I looked everywhere for a photo of my late kitty Tigger but I have none on the computer, he was my best buddy who also passed away last year at the ripe old age of 18. He was a 20lb Orange Maine ..... He looked a lot like this:

I currently have no animals, I'm jealous of you guys!

Wait what?? When did you arrive "here" - cause if you arrived there in 2012 that would've made the cat 24 years old

I'm really glad people took the thread, "non pet-owners" sometimes don't get this obsession we seem to have with our pets - just as non vapers don't get the big deal about getting a new mod or some new juice etc. It's nice to have a place to chit chat about our pets.

Yep. She was one study old cat alright. Stubborn and cantacerous as all get-out and that was likely why she lived so long. Went through a lot of life with her. Tore my heart out when she died. Just layed down next to me and went. Just like that.

Wow I can't even imagine the pain to have a companion for so many years suddenly leave like that :( but I don't think you could've asked for any more out of her, way to go little kitty!
