I believe that the best decision for anyone would be to get off nicotine completely.

Nicotine has been proven to help Ulcerative Colitis patients maintain remission, so if my choice is blood pouring out of my bowels 30+ times a day..or IV medications that are worse than chemo on the system....or complete removal of my bowels. I'll stick with a PV as my choice of medication. Yes, I am in remission.

Dude, I just drank some. Do you think I will be ok? I feel... not thirsty.

Water is extremely dangerous! Here's a website devoted to banning it:

Dihydrogen Monoxide Research Division - dihydrogen monoxide info

quote:

"Most of these deaths are caused by accidental inhalation of DHMO, but the dangers of dihydrogen monoxide do not end there. Prolonged exposure to its solid form causes severe tissue damage. Symptoms of DHMO ingestion can include excessive sweating and urination, and possibly a bloated feeling, nausea, vomiting and body electrolyte imbalance. For those who have become dependent, DHMO withdrawal means certain death."

That's one of the first signs! Was it bottled? Go here to lose your sanity and sense of wellbeing!
Harmful Chemicals Found in Bottled Water | Environmental Working Group

Ten popular U.S. bottled water brands contain mixtures of 38 different pollutants, including bacteria, fertilizer, Tylenol and industrial chemicals, some at levels no better than tap water, according to laboratory tests recently conducted by Environmental Working Group (EWG).

If it was from the tap go here!
How Dangerous is Your Tap Water?

Lead makes its way into tap water through corrosion of the pipes in a home's plumbing system. Because lead contamination occurs after municipal treatment, there is no way that municipal facilities can control for it. Lead in drinking water is especially harmful for young children and pregnant mothers. Ingestion of lead can result in severe developmental delays and/or learning disorders in children.

Now, maybe my articles I linked to are completely biased and not relevant to anything you're doing but there are big scary words in there! Be afraid! Spread panic to the masses. The only safe water is water from your own body purified in a home made waterworld-esqe purifier! I use the Costner Urinemaster!

I think that's awesome, Meems. :)

That website is hilarious... erm.... I'm glad there are other concerned citizens devoted to bringing the dangers of water to light. :)

The things you posted are pretty scary. I started filtering my own after I found that Minneapolis (when I lived there) had an acceptable PUS limit in the water. Pus is probably the least of my worries, but I have been skeeved out ever since. I took an earth science course a few semesters ago, and part of a project we did was looking up the water quality from the exact cistern hooked up to our homes. I feel pretty confident about water quality in my home, but it's still worth looking into...

See...that's what I did wrong. I posted something created completely from my ..., and ran into someone actually knowledgeable about the subject who easily made me look like an idiot. Imagine how much more foolish I would look if I had posted on a message board dedicated to the study and use of water! /sarcasm

I've always loved that site! I have been waiting for the FDA to report "Dihydrogen Monoxide, found in large quantities in e-cig vapor, is also found in common Anti-freeze formulations" lol

This is a question i pondered a little bit ago. Is it possible to get cancer from e-cigarettes? This is my logic. If the tobacco that is harvested is grown with radioactive chemicals and the nicotine is derived from these plants, wouldn't the nicotine in e juice be radioactive/cancer causing? I know that this is the case for analog cigarettes, that is why if you use "natural tobacco" to roll cigarettes it is still radioactive, thus bad for you. I used a e cigarette for over 6 months but have since quit. I know from experence that e- cigarettes are not harmless. I thought i would just throw this question out their and see what the community thought.

What I know is nicotine does not cause cancer...the additives to analogs do!!!

I was going to write a post and try to explain why you are wrong - but it would be a waste of my time. After reading several of your posts, you obviously have no hard science background and I suspect you are smoking a little too much of something other than tobacco products. Good luck to you.

and remember:

"Life is a sexually transmitted disease, which is invariably fatal!"

Cancer takes around 20 years to develope, so it's already delevoping on many smokers who have smoked normal tobacco many years. Switching to e-cig doesn't change the cell formations that have already happened in your body. There is zero proof though, that e-cigs will give you a cancer. So you just have to hope you switched before the cancer cells started to develope. Of course it's always better to move to e-cigs, no matter what state your body is in. No nicotine products or inhaling anything else than fresh air is always the best option though. Everything else will have some negative effets on you.
