As mentioned, devices, tanks, cartos, voltage/wattage. top vs bottom coils, etc... all can all affect flavors differently. The trick is to find the combination that fits YOUR taste the most, and often takes a bit of experimentation (IMHO). My wife and I quit smoking together, and have spent a fair amount of money on mods, tanks, and juices that keep us off of the analogs. We both smoked the same brand of analogs, but we bot have very different tastes in juices. An example is: since I couldn't find a tobacco flavor I liked at all, ended up favoring drink flavored juices; cola, mountain dew, coffee flavors, etc. as my daily juices. Wifey likes more sweeter juices like dessert flavors such as Unicorn Poop from Vapor Chef, or a sweetened Iced Coffee flavors. We even prefer different tanks styles (she prefers top-coil tanks like the iClears while I prefer bottom coils like the ProTanks; each of which alters the flavor of the same juice).
The point is, while you may not find exactly what you're looking for in a tobacco flavor, there are literally millions of flavors, strengths, etc. that could keep you off the analogs. My own opinion/suggestion would be to find an inexpensive mod like a Vamo and a few different tank/atty/carto styles until you find the "vape experience" you like best, then start expanding out into different flavors. ...at least, that's what wifey and I did, and neither of us have even had a desire to go back to analogs since. And try not to rule out a drastic change in flavor; you will most likely find a flavor that "fills your analog void" in a flavor that you may not expect (wife's Unicorn Poop, for instance).
I've also not found a juice provider that hasn't offered some sort of sample size bottle of juice to try out before you spend more $$ on a 30 or 60ml size; if they have an on-line presence, that is. We have lots of B&M vape stores in the metro Atlanta area, and I haven't been to one yet that hasn't had some sort of tasting bar, also... so look around, even if it means driving a little further to get to one that does have a taste-bar; the extra miles will pay off when you find the right juice for you.
I, also, +1 ECBlends. Some of my favorite flavors come from him; he makes one of the best cola flavors I've tasted. The moral here is, just because a vendor may be a "one-man-shop" doesn't necessarily mean their quality is less; often times, it's better than what you'd get from larger vendors. So, IMHO, you shouldn't rule them out just because they're a small vendor; plus, you'd be supporting small business as opposed to some large corporation who's goal is to eliminate the "small guy".
Sorry for the rambling, I'm just sharing my opinion.
