I have been vaping for a month now.. did really well at first, didn't touch an analog. Recently, had a big ice storm and my power was out for days.. couldn't recharge my batts, so I bought analogs to get me by.. now I can't get off them!!! I only smoke about 4 a day, and I vape ALL DAY LONG.. I rarely put the PV down!

I currently vape 24mg.. do I need to up my mg to help me to break these analog chains?? It's really frustrating me!! Anyone else out there having the same problem, or can offer any good advice?

Thanks!!!

I wouldn't be too hard on yourself. Every cigarette that you don't smoke is an accomplishment. You may want to try a stronger liquid but maybe also try to figure out if it is the nicotine that you are craving or the maoi's and alkaloids from the tobacco. I successfully quit for 8-9 weeks but started feeling depressed and no matter how strong of a liquid I used, I still did not get the satisfied feeling that I got from smoking. I have started using a few portions a day of swedish snus to get the things that I am not getting from vaping.

I'm going through the same thing. Before I got my PV, I only smoked about 8-10 a day, but couldn't stop completely. I was really counting on this to help, but for some reason, I'm still hooked on the analogs. I vape constantly - all day long, but still feel some weird need for "the real thing". Everyone says to up the nic level - currently I use 18mg. But even that gives me too strong of a TH and makes me cough.
Yesterday I decided "Today's the day!", smoked my last cig the night before and let me tell you, I just about went batty in the 8 hours I had to wait until my husband brought me home a fresh pack. (We only have one vehicle and he had it at work so I couldn't go out and get my own.)
    Talk about frustrating and dissappointing!

Don't feel bad I still smoke some too, mostly when i work at the bar on the weekends Something about the smell of smokers, makes me want to smoke. I think mostly because I don't want to smell them(they stink) and the only way to not smell them is to smoke. I have found I don't enjoy the analogs near as much as I did and prefer the ecig. I figure I will eventually get it right, Be patience and don't be hard on yourself, it might take some time.

hmmmmm, OK I havent had to go the snus route yet so I guess I understand your point if thats the case for ya, just out of curiosity what is it that you arent getting with the Vaping that the snus is giving you if it isnt in raising the Nic im just curious ???

I am by no means an expert on this but from what I understand there are maoi's and alkaloids in tobacco that some people crave as well as the nicotine. I found that I was one of these people. I am not telling you to not bump up the nicotine. If you think it will help you then by all means do so. I use 24-36mg liquids but do not vape as much since I started using the snus. I used to have times where I could vape straight for 20-30 minutes and still not feel satisfied. The snus helps me feel satisfied and I feel better than when I was vaping alone. It is not for everyone but if you up your strength and it still does not help then perhaps it is something to consider.

    Dont get down on yourself..

I started with 36mg and have pretty much stayed there.

Could be you need to up your nic a little more and will power comes into play also..

Also a good PV will help too.
    good luck!

Ok.. i buy my juice from Drew at Nhale, and he doesn't offer anything over 24mg... is there a way I could buy some unflavored juice at a higher strength and just add it to my current VAST inventory of juice from him? (went a little wild on the juices... so many to choose from!) I would hate to pitch all that juice and start new... Can you tell me how high of a nic level I could buy in unflavored juice to add to my current 24mg inventory?

totally agree you have to find that comfort level, where you find satisfaction.. nic level, type of Pv is pretty much all you have to work with.. Think during the first 3 months of vaping constantly my body was just getting use to not having all the chemicals that come in analogs.. once I got through that, making choices when and when not to vape seemed easier...

you've got to give your body time to adjust of letting go of analogs
find your satisfaction level for vaping to support letting go of analogs
and at some point in time,, your going to need to put a little self will power to work for you...

    Thanks, everyone!

For those of you talking about the good PV, I have a Janty EGo which is OUTSTANDING!! I really don't think my PV is the problem.

I guess my next step will be to see how I can up the nic level in my existing juice stash.. so I guess it's off to the ejuice DIY thread... unless any of you can help me out... just need to know what nic level of unflavored juice I can use to cut my existing juices to get to maybe a 36mg level.. all my juices now are 24mg. I doubt it is as easy as buying a 50mg or something and just dripping a few drops in my cart along with my existing juices, is it? CAN'T BE!!

I personally don't do SNUS, but I do still have 2 analogues a day. I suspect it's the MAOIs and other chemicals that they add to tobacco that have other addictive properties other than the nicotine. If you've seen a list as to what's in tobacco, it is staggering.

um.... what's a SNUS??? Sounds like something in a Dr Seuss book to me...

I asked that too when I first came here! It's smokeless like chew, but it comes in little pouches you put in your mouth and you don't have to spit. Many of the forum members use it to compensate for what they're not getting from e-juice. You can get Camel SNUS most anywhere cigarettes are sold.

You would need to pre-mix in an empty bottle for any sort of accuracy.

    50% 24mg + 50% 36mg mixed together would get you a 30mg strength juice.

    50% 24mg + 50% 50mg mixed together would get you a 37mg strength juice.

    etc

All you need to mix is a few empty bottles and a few syringes for measuring.

oh.... :p personally, I don't think my husband would rather I smoked than used those...switching from kissing an ashtray to kissing a spitoon would probably make him file divorce papers so fast my head would spin... HA! Besides.. being a girl, it would feel weird.

    Thanks for clearing that up!!!
