Can anyone chime in on this....?
I like my flavors pretty strong, not slap you in the face strong, but strong.
I've been mixing my Capellas flavors at 15%, and even with steeping, don't seem to me as strong as premixed I've purchased.
I did two at 20% I believe, would have to check my notes again, and it isn't much better.

Is it just me? I know I read where too much flavor can actually have the opposite effect and taste weaker.
Any clue what I may be doing wrong?
I'm only using 1 flavor, maybe 2.

For instance, I mixed up 10ml:
5ml 100% VG nic base
3ml PG
1.5ml Lemon Lime
.5ml Cotton Candy (wizard labs' cotton candy he told me was basically EM)

Thinking the EM/Cotton Candy needs to be "counted" to get the nic ratio right.
It's good, but could be better. Do I need more of the Capellas flavors? Thought I read 15% for most of them.

Hi Unfettered.............are you using a calculator or are you "winging" it?

I watched a diy video last night of someone mixing up a batch of Watermelon. He mixed the flavoring at 40%. I think 15% is a good starting point. Just keep notes and take it up until you get it where you want it giving yourself a few days for steeping of course. I normally mix about 3 10ml batches up in increments of 5% when I’m trying to get a new flavor where I want it.

Cap sugar cookie on a lr carto with a 3.7v battery...15% flavor , 70pg/30vg, 12 mg nic..steeped for 8 days, added nic on 8th day.

Sugar cookie is amazing. I like strong flavors. This one I had to leave sit in another room until my palate tone down from constant, deep, coffee vape. After a few puffs, I got it and it's magic. The lr carto provided a bit more warmth than is needed for this usually room temp served cookie. The taste of the actual cookie part just changes if it gets too warm in the carto. I seriously tasted some of the sprinkles and icing sometimes added to sugar cookies, Not on the exhale, but more on my taste buds about 10 seconds after exhale....After an hour I can't just blurt "this is not strong enough flavor to be an all day vape"..simply because it's so simple and yet so complex. Subtle, but enough flavor, enough flavor. It's nice.

This review should serve as a template for all reviews. Not only does Blackheavendust give the recipe and a detailed description of the vape on inhale and exhale, but he (she?) also gives info as to the device and carto used. Good work and thanks for sharing Blackheavendust!

P.S. I've got the Sugar Cookie but have yet to try it. Now I'm really stoked.

This is totally off-topic but some of the folks here post also in the Echo thread. For some reason I cannot post there since about 2PM today. I'm not understanding what that is about. Has anyone else here had that problem. Thanks and sorry for the off topic post.

EDIT: Got my answer...........thanks.

Mixed up some Choc Raspberry and Dutch Choc Mint yesterday, both at 12% (both are set aside for a week to steep). The Choc Raspberry smells pretty awesome but the Dutch Choc Mint smelled really overpowering - not to mention the fact that the juice was darker than that tanning mom's face that was all over the news a few weeks ago, lol. Is 12% to strong for Choc Mint, and if so, whats the best percentage? Thanks.

Gosh, it's been a LONG time since I've been on ECF. Been screamin' busy: family, gardening, veg planting, spring/summer stuff, socializing. DIYing when I get a chance & need some of my favorite juices.

Hope everyone is well & living life to the fullest :)

I had a "crushing" vape experience. Got really sick for several days with the 2-ended flu about 2 months ago & could not vape anything that had any flavors other than very light fruit, soda/drink, & tobacco. All of my wonderful bakery juices & couldn't use any of them.

And much to my chagrin, I still can't use any bakery flavors. Just the smell makes me nauseous, let alone vaping them. 26 bottles of flavors, several still unopened & a bunch I had just received from a Capella co-op I was in. I ended up dumping about 40 ml of ejuices (couldn't stomach the smell when I opened my storage drawer).

Anyone have any suggestions about what to do with all of them? I thought maybe the classified section, but have never sold anything on ECF. Anyone with ECF selling experience? I could really use help with this.

K, so I just got my first order of Capellas in, and this thread seems to be the place to talk about it. Didn't go thru the whole old thread, or this one, but wanted to ask really quick if anyone is using Stevia/truvia to sweeten capellas? I don't use artificial sweeteners, which is one of the reasons I wanted capellas drops to begin with (also I think my fave juice vendor uses em, and dying to 'replace' some of the juices I buy with some I make for $ reasons). But I was wondering if stevia would work, and also, seeing lots of 8-10% flavoring going on, and wanted to make sure that was the standard. Hoping I can 'melt' stevia crystals to use as flavoring, otherwise I need to find somewhere that sells the drops, and they tend to be pricey. Anyway, if this is the best capellas thread, I'm good, unless anyone has suggestions. If there's another good capellas recipe thread, I'd love it if someone could lead me there. My first order was...

Cinnamon Coffee Cake
Hot Cocoa
(they just sounded good)

Cinnamon Danish Swirl
Peaches and Cream
Lemon Meringue
(trying to match flavors from vendor)

And wait a sec... into the thread deeper now, and see tons of you AREN'T sweeting the capellas'? Yay! That's great news. K, I'll try unsweetened, first, since I don't like my bakery stuff crazy sweet, anyway. ;)

I probably have somewhere around 15 Capella's flavors, and haven't had the urge to sweeten a single one. If you don't like bakery stuff super sweet I bet you'll be fine.
I don't know anything about stevia, but if you don't like the sucralose stuff then EM (ethyl maltol [sp?]) might be another option. I get the impression that people mostly use it in tobaccos and bakery recipes (which I have done with good results), but not so much in fruit (I don't do fruit, so can't say if it doesn't work well).

I have just received a number of Capella flavourings which I ordered from the US and I must say that I like most of them. However there was one flavour which turned out a disappointment for me and that was Snick Snack. I thought from the description that is was going to be a nutty, chocolatey, nougat style flavour as described on the Capella web page but all I can taste is nuts. I think the flavour was meant to imitate Snickers which is a chocolate candy bar with nougat, caramel and peanuts in it. Unfortunately this doesn't taste anything like it. Has anyone else tried this flavour? It won't go to waste as I will add other flavours to it.

Yeah, I wasn't too keen either. I gave mine away!
