Well, I don't believe it. I was around then and talked at great length with Tom at Capella. He said they DO NOT use diacetyl in ANY of their flavorings. If it were true there would have been a lot more uproar than one post and surely she would have backed it up with the proper paperwork to prove it. It was a trying time because FA was found to have a lot of diacetyl in their flavorings which they have since removed from most of them. It wouldn't make sense for Capella to use it in their Vanilla Custard when there are alternatives. Tom told me that none of the American flavoring vendors use diacetyl and haven't for many years.
great post Boston with a lot of great information. So your basically using vinegar or ACV in your bakery type flavors and use Lime with your fruit flavorings? I get that right? Ok Will have to check the vinegar thread for sure thanks again for some great info.

Thats the way you take it. If i do know im right it because its a simple fact . In the few times i say things for a fact its because i do know and am trying to help .other times i write my opinions . Iv easily read 3/4's of the threads in the subforum as well as other forums and well as test things everyday . Obviously your the only one that has a problem since iv helped many people make good juice and many like my posted recipes so go whine to someone else as well as appriciate me trying to help them . Vanilla custard is not really a standalone flavor if your looking for a rich full bodied juice . That is my opinion Its my one of my fav flavors and im not knocking it but it does much better as a mixing flavor . If someone writes something i dont agree with i respect that and have a conversation about our opinions which is what a forums for . Again if you dont like what i have to say then whine to yourself not to me . As for bam i didnt crucify him. I like bams. i disagree with him saying iPB is not great not because i dont respect his opinion but because he may be using a old flavoring . Flavorings do go bad and i was trying to determine if his was .If i came of mean about it im sorry but that wasnt my intention there . Like i said though just dont read my posts anymore and we will be happy and especially dont whine if you dont like my answer . This whole forum is to share with eachother to help eachother improve and i will continue doing so since other people do appropriate my help .

Talk about whining--- this is quite the rant. You just proved my point about your superiority complex. This is the last post of yours I willl ever see so you can stop your rant and BTW you don't know what other people say about you they don't want to tell you in the open forum like I did.![]()
Awwww snap! It just got serious in here!
*grabbing my popcorn and eGo while waiting patiently for the fireworks to begin*
Can't we all just get along? *munchin* *vaping*
I'll provide the vanilla custard!!!I hope it's diacetyl free!I think Shilo and Str8 should go on a dateI'll provide the vanilla custard!!!
I don't think they are using diacetyl directly but another chemical (acetoin) that turns into diacetyl over time from oxidation and light. A sample of Cap. VC was ordered and sent directly to a lab and a trace amount of Diacetyl was found.

I still don't believe this, I believe it was because vendors make more money selling TFA than Capella and were perhaps protecting their interest. If it's the case then TFA has many flavors that contain acetoin and would test positive for diacetyl. Capella uses the best ingredients in the industry and nothing tastes like perfume, that tells me a lot! Capella doesn't kiss the vaping community's ars, they don't have to.
