Glad I decided to crawl, not run for Capella
50/50 mix 3Ml Samples
3 Drops per Sample
Sweet Strawberry - EM 1% - 24hr test - Not so impressed. Not sweet at all, kind of a unripe taste.:(

Cappuccino - EM 1% - 24hr test - interesting taste(maybe cappuccino-ISH) Needs mix, maybe MC-Toffee and Espresso

MilkChocToffee - EM 1% - 24hr Test - Shows potential........but in my hands who knows:D

Sweet Tangerine - EM 1% 24hr test - Citrus taste, mildly sweet. May do better at higher percentages.

Vanilla Custard - Not Tested - Will give more time to blend.

Any suggestions on making these flavor Pop would be appreciated.

I've tried all those flavors but have no advise except for the V.C. which still IMO is not a stand alone flavor. Mix it with many different things including tobacco. Someone who puts more effort into bringing out a coffee or chocolate or orange flavor may have a great recipe. I've not found a good mix for those three nor have I bought a pre made that I liked.

Someone post a Capella's sweet strawberry recipe that tastes like the strawberries that fall off a cheesecake and I'll try it. Even if I need to order a flavor from somewhere else.:p

When I read this I was thinking so true, but I may have accidently stumbled onto something. I need more time to experiment.

I mixed up some Capella Cake Batter tonight and for some reason it has a very strong tobacco smell after being mixed and shaken?? I used a Cobalt 30ml bottle and ecigexpress 36mg nic.(5% flavor)for the mix and the same pg/vg too.Everything i used to mix was cleaned and steralized before hand, did not do or add anything different, and have not vaped the juice yet either,to see if it has a tobacco taste. This is a first for me,i have never had this flavor have such a bad tobacco smell at all.

Anyone have any ideas why the strong tobacco scent,it has a very strong Cuban Supreme smell, and no,it was not Cuban Supreme i mixed, but damned if it does not smell like it.It has been setting in my DIY cabinet for almost an hour, just went to check it again, and it still has the tobacco scent??? My next thought is if anyone has had a problem with ECX Unflavored Nic. lately that i might not know about???

I haven't had the tobacco flavor scent Ever! from the cake batter. I do however always get a rather synthetic type taste from it if I use too much. I always use it as a enhancer to others and never a stand alone. Not sure where the tobacco is coming from??

Sweet Strawberry and Vanilla Cupcake go well together. I forget what percentage I used though. I think it was like 13% strawberry and 3% vanilla cupcake. I only remember using very little of the cupcake. The thing about Capella's is that it seems you need to use high percentages for them to taste good. 15-20% for most flavors, for most people. )standalone) Even mixed with other things, you're still looking at a higher percentage. I'm thinking it's because it's meant to be mixed with water, not the thicker fluids.
This is why I only got a couple flavors and they were flavors I planned on using as additives, with the exception of the Watermelon. I do like them all but am still trying to find a good percentage for the watermelon and raspberry.

I like to use it as a standalone about once a month because it can be to sweet at times.I have never had this god awful tobacco scent from it before though.I am going to let it steep for about a week and come back to it and see where it stands, and go from there.

Raspberry and Vanilla Cupcake are great together too! I added a little TFA Vanilla Swirl to it and the combo is so good I've been vaping it three days straight.

I've been calling it Pink Cupcake since I already have a Blue Cupcake, but I think I might just be stealing Razilla. Love it!

So what's the recipe for Razilla inquiring minds want to know!

So far it's:
5% Raspberry
5% TFA Vanilla Swirl
15% Vanilla Cupcake
1% Sweetener
It's a surprisingly light mystery flavor. If I didn't know what was in it, I'd probably sit here pondering what exactly I was tasting. There's definitely room to play with the percentages if you want to get the raspberry to smack you in the face :)

I ordered some Harvest Berry, and I haven't seen it mentioned, but wanted to let you know it has a Hawaiian Punch kind of super sweetness to it, especially with some EM, and 15% is way too much. Hehe.

Unrelated: I found I should have gotten nic juice in a VG base. Doh. Cant go over 55% VG without dropping nic to about 6 mg or lower. At least my redundant bottle of PG can be used to test these flavors out, I guess. Maybe I'll learn to love the classic 80/20.

The below was my first attempt at DIY with Capellas. It was OK. Gave it a week 4 days of steeping and it needed a little more something, but overall not bad. I think I need to do the intelligent test every flavor on it's own method before I get anymore creative. The only thing that went wrong, really, was an undertone of a corn taste from the Waffle flavor. It has a strange tinge of corn flavor or something. It's odd. Want to try it at 15% alone to figure it out.

Code:
Waffle w/ Syrup
(48mg) Nicotine E-Liquid	3.75 ml	75 drops	37.5 %

V G
4.25 ml	85 drops	42.5 %
Waffle
1.5 ml	30 drops	15 %
Pancake Syrup
0.3 ml	6 drops	3 %
EM
0.2 ml	4 drops	2 %

18 mg Nicotine per ml - 57.5%PG - 42.5%VG

I really don't understand when people say they use 15% flavoring and then list the percentage of the 15% each flavor is. Is there a reason they do it that way? Seems horribly complicated to me and I haven't seen a juice calculator that utilizes this function.

The % might be for a single flavor only.

BTW

I had to order the Big Bottle of Sweet Tangerine

If you are referring to my post, I had 20% total, 15% waffle, 3% pancake syrup, 2% EM - 2ML out of 10ML went to flavoring. I have no clue what I am doing, but it's fun albeit kind of a pain in the rear.

Capella recommends 15-20% even if you go over that you should still be okay Capella Flavors are forgiving.

No.. Not you. I'm literally talking about when they list 15% for the total flavoring percentage then say a flavor is 30% of the 15%. Does that make sense? I'm just wondering if there's an actual benefit to doing it this way or a reason? Because all it does is confuse me because it doesn't fit into any calculator I have... and I just end up having to do the math myself... which is ok I guess... but just seems more complicated than it should be

Like on the Boba's clone page...

15% flavor
Boba's Clone #1
Black and Mile Plus 60.0%
Cotton Candy 20.0%
Coconut 20.0%

That's what I'm talking about. When I first saw the percentages, I was like woah... 60%?? Then I had to look further back and see that somewhere it mentions the total flavoring percent is 15% of the entire product.
