Some are pretty nice, may have a few issues but nothing that isn't fixable, and some are just bad designs or bad quality.

I think the key is to not get hyped about something because it looks cool or looks like something else that is cool. While vapor joes blog is a good source of what's coming, where from and where to get a good price...him showing it or saying it looks nice doesn't indicate it is actually something you should buy. If you want to be an early adopter or in the first few then you probably know the risks. I'd advise waiting on any new china mech, see what shakes out.

Yes, some of the Sigelei's have chrome plated brass including the #8.

Has anybody preordered the v2 on Vapor Tek USA? I'm going to wait for a CoOp or some more information on the production of the v2.

I went ahead and picked one up, AFTER speaking to a few people who have gotten a hold of one of these new ones and assured me the concerns with the V1 were addressed.

Pfft, for under $55 at the very least it's another cheap mod to play around with, but from what I was told it will be a decent little clone. Shrug, we'll see

70mm without an atty is way too long for an 18350 mod IMO.

i picked up a Cclone from a poster here, new in a kit ...
the spring is unbearably hard to push with my left hand pinky, but the right is stronger and its not too bad, but much tougher than any bottom button i've ever used (legacy, p+)...
the thing fires my DID like a champ though... not unhappy at all (this is my first clone mech). i've got a like 1.0 Ohm coil on it. Seems to be pumping out high 3.XXv ... this is my first 18350 batt device too.
I like it fine except for the button thing.

btw the bottom flat full wide button makes it super easy to lay upright on a table/desk.

FWIW I am working w the manufacturer to get this right. He hit me up after the "collaboration of members" fell thru. So I explained why it fell thru and exactly whats wrong w the device. They are very receptive to what I have to say. Allegedly there is a team of their engineers going over all my communications.
So maybe we will get a half way decent product/hybrid out of this.

Wouldn't it be awesome if China starts a line of hybrids and attys that all use a real connector instead of the 510?

you need to convince these manufactures, that M20x1 is the new 510....

Paps, Gus, Caravela, ihybrid(fecta)... all share same tube threads...

since its my first clone, please give me a name of a better clone for genesis and rda.... out of the box since i'm a clutz; i guess i could sand a contact that doesn't require too much to get to.
I have heard about the K100, but looking for a different form factor...

does a tele mod have an inherent volt droppage fault due to the extra tubes and/or tube connections?

i rolled the dice and ordered one. i think i'll be happy with it. if not, someone else will.

Not necessarily all clones, but some decent china mechanicals: The Natural (or any Smok mech), K100/K101, Sigelei 8, 19, 13, all have respectable build quality. From the looks of the pics and reviews of this device, I would imagine any of the aforementioned are much better buys. I personally own a Natural and am very happy with it (I have given it the sandpaper treatment and polished it out).

While I have a level of acceptance for designs that are inspired by or closely mimic a well known high end mod the fact that they have blatantly used the name of the original and even put a stolen logo on the atomizer is ridiculous.

It is no wonder that people are very interested in this "Clone". Has anyone actually tried to order a Caravella lately? Waiting lists, minimum posts on the Caravell Forum, just to get a chance to get on a waiting list? As far as I can see, you can't even get a look at what styles to order or what the cost may be, and the wait "may" be over a year to get your device. Beautiful, yes, functional supposedly, exclusive WOW that is an understatement. Bring it on Clone!
