Got some on order, I've been using Vivi Novas for months now so I thought it would be nice to try something new.
I've been using these in my tanks since I despise filler, and I think they're great!

I dont like a viva at all....i rock boges, vally view pyrex tanks, and glass trippy tips i have 7 tanks from there and 7 trippys i keep running most of the time
Ikanvape cartos are darn good as well....i get 2 or more weeks out of either........a smoketech i sometimes get 5 days....If i get a good one, most of the time they are junk in a day!
Three questions for the exp's. (baditude lol). I never see mention of using a drill to make a hole. You'd (in theory) be able to remove material without deforming the surface, and if you have any skill you will know to drill slow and carefully so as not to grab any inner material once the hole is complete.
Also, why are they always DC systems? A single coil cannot keep up? And why do I never see two holes, with the holes being right over the coils spots?
Thanks.

This is why I ask about the holes dead over the coils, which I never see configurations of. Will that flood a coil? I doubt it.I use nothing but single coils in my carto tanks...prefer them greatly over dual coil. With DC I found when I was vaping hard and the tank was getting low I could actually dry out the top coil and start getting a burnt taste, never been an issue with a single coil carto.
Bench viseIm a single coil kinda guy as well....i use mostly low reserve(lr) cartos usally around 2 ohm sometimes the flux up to 2.1 or 1.9? they work great on a fixed unit like a silver bullet something like that, everyone likes standard over low it seems, but me i always get lows and run them on everything i have.......I us a saddle valve as well....lowes like 6 bucks,a drill would be a prob i think, hard to get it solid on a round carto, and it may twist out some of the filler if your not careful!

Na, it can clearly be safely drilled, have to be much aware of your tolerances. Guess I was asking if folks have done it. The guy with the stops on the press is on the right track. Am thinking in terms of minimal to 0 malformation of the precious round shape...i.e. bad/no seal.
Speed, not force.

As for drilling I could set up my drill press, set the stops, drill, the use a fine file to de-burr the drill holes or I can pop a couple holes in a carto with my saddle valve in about 60 seconds. Just laziness keeps me reaching for the saddle valve I guess..lol.
acidrayne280 - it is an awesome tank....pricey but I am really liking it.
Oh, sorry. In the smoktechs, you can see the coil setup removed in the picture at myvaporstore(dot)com. And one would assume they are made the same way from unit to unit.I have no idea where the coils are when I punch a carto...I could be punching over them for all I know. No idea how low they are in the carto. But you do have to keep the holes high enough to be above the cap so they will feed.

Well, I don't think the grommet tanks have been mentioned here yet? That's all I use now. Maybe they should be called the workhorse tanks.

Don't need to carry a tool to fill (sidefill), Probably holds on the tightest. Can punch a hole with a dent, and it don't care.
Don't have to worry about pocket carrying or roughhousing with 10yr. old son. You can put a 75cent small Boge in a 6ml. tank.
Totally agree with the positives of the tanks- I used to fill the small Boge's a few times a day, for quite awhile, and it really got old. The vape is so much better now, a tankless carto varies in performance so much going from full to empty. A carto-tank just gives a perfect hit every time.
