You are exactly right. I had to google it and it is any color in the blue- blue green range, kinda like Teal. Wow I was way off! Yeah the new color is alot more purple in person, really cool color actually. It is called Purple Reign.

Cmon Striper...I thought it was pretty good already lol!

There's nothing wrong with the tank....I just can't leave stuff alone. I turned down the bottom cap so it would slide into the XL tube, I use a regular carto, beveled the top cap and undercut the tank so it sits tight on the PV....I work construction and wanted to make it a little bulletproof.... I could throw it against the wall and it would stay together now....Oh and I frosted the tank tube

I did not mean to deface your creation....Sorry

Ok, just my 2 cents, but I would understand a set screw for filling the old CE2 style tanks, where you had to pry a tight cap off. But this tank is so ridiculously easy to fill anyway! :)

I saw Pete's and decided to make the filler screw.....You can blame him for that.

No need to apologize. Nothing wrong with making something fit your lifestyle better. Whatever works:) How do you frost the tube?

I put it in the lathe.....Live center in the tailstock, dead center in the chuck, press the tube in between....Let it spin slowly and run some fine grit scotchbrite on it. It's the maroon colored scotchbrite.

CG, while I agree that filling by removing the top cap is simple enough, I keep 5ml syringes full of juice and it takes all of 30 seconds to refill with a port. It's not for everyone, just us obsessive compulsive tinkerers. Stryprswpr, if I get some set screws in nylon (and they work) Ill send you some. There's a Graingers here locally so I'll see if they have them in stock. http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/MICRO-PLASTICS-Socket-Set-Screw-4FXH9

You know I think it's not a bad idea.....But the slotted head looks like it could be a problem. I could see that stripping very easily. Especially since your not tapping the hole. I used the ss setscrew to tap the hole too and it makes for a very tight fit. If your gonna use the nylon you might wanna tap it first with a 4-40 tap......Be careful, that will be a pain to get out if the head strips.

Definitely going to tap it with a SS screw first. I agree about the slot head. Maybe I'll stick with SS socket head.

I rarely remove a Cartomator Cap. I fill by sliding the carto up or down out of the o-ring. I only remove the caps when I breakdown the tank for cleaning every couple of weeks!

Cuse, what's the lead time on the SS....I wanna grab a couple more tanks, but if the SS are days away, I'll wait.
Well, the good news is the caps are completed. The bad news is that, as we were opening up the shipping tubes of pipe, we found out that most of it is the wrong I.D. size:( I've been promised expedited shipping on the replacement, but still, it will take few days to come in. Sooo...that changes things from getting them out this weekend to probably next weekend. Very disappointing after working so hard getting the caps completed for this week.

So are you guys planning on selling the tubes and caps separately in the future?

I also just wanted to say I have never had a tank before that just worked. It took me a little to figure out how everything went together, but now it just works. Its almost amazing. I wish the carto was a little tighter in there (moves up and down fairly easily) but I have yet to have a leak or a carto be overfilled. And the colors are awesome. Just ordered a green twisted tip for mine, and while I was at it ordered a second tank with a blue tip to match. This is my answer to mods that can't be bottom feeders. Thanks!

Also on a side note first time trying boge carto's, and they are A+ in my book!
