Yes, a Cartomizer mod, not Cartridge... well if you want to call it a mod. I just call it super COOL to know you can change out your poly, clean the guts, etc...

This is a how to pull the entire contents out of your cartomizer, to deep clean the wires, coil, and polyfill or replace it. You can also switch from one metal carto to another. Hopefully opening ideas for other people and would LOVE to see some future Carto mods (even tho I drip)... I'm really thinking about getting cartomizers for my eGo now

Since using the filler-less CE2's I haven't messed w/ filler cartos in a while. After seeing your video I may try it; still have a bunch laying around. One could get a lot more mileage out of them if they like to fiddle.

I wonder if blue foam would work instead of the last poly fill wrap? Might be too stiff.

I see you found the mod section, there's also the cartomizer issue section but the mod area is probably best.

Hey turbo, how's it going?

I don't use cartomizers often, well since I got my eGo and drip. But I felt bad that I hadn't used any of my E9 PVs in like 3 weeks, and I realized after the cartomizers sat for that long they tasted, well, like .....

So, I decided I didn't use it anyway and if I broke 1 battery trying to rip the carto apart I still have 2 more I don't use. LOL

Yes, I too have wondered about trying blue foam, sponge and other things that you can mod a standard cart with. I have 8 beat looking cartos setting around that I'm going to fiddle with to see other ideas, but I agree maybe the mod section might be a better place.

If I could get some comments back on this thread being in general to know people are actually reading this and taking it into consideration. I'll keep it bumped daily. but with 64 video views and 1 comment back. Who's to say people are interested in my idea.

For those who ARE reading I'm going to make a "Pay it Forward" thread for anyone who would like to mail me dead or beat cartomizers for the E9 or eGo that wouldn't mind helping me try different experiments with. If you've read it here and would like to contribute. I would be more than happy to pay shipping to play with dead or beat E9 or eGo Cartos that you aren't using. (I would prefer beat, working ones over dead ones i can't test)

Well, as a Ms. Fix-it you know that fix-it-uppers use anything handy as a hammer but it's usually a screwdriver or a ratchet handle. A lock as a hammer, eh?

Lock seemed most accessible, and worked. You don't even want to know what I've used in replacement for a hammer, LOL. Thanks for the reply. The way I found this out was thru TOTAL frustration. My only eGo battery left lost charge (my girl uses my other one at work), put it on charge, pulled out the backup E9, ehhhh greeeeeeaaaat RAH! 8 cartos all plugged, not getting vape. When you get mad and desperate things happen. Started taking it out on my E9 by trying to "snap it" and i noticed the little edge of the carto started showing.. WHAAAAT?!?!? Can I clean it? Fix it? Make it Vapable? Mod it? Upgrade it??? I had to keep using this pencil break tech, YAAAAAY carto guts. I got the one on the video cleaned up super good, vapes like it's new again. However doing "mods" or messing around with the other 7 have caused me to kill them. So 1st I will try using some solder, 2 sewing needles, and a pc of wire to form a new style coil. not sure how this will work. I've seen atty mods like this not sure if I'm gonna jack myself up on this attempt. We shall see.

IF I go MIA for longer than 2 days... blame my need for having to know how everything works and the possibilities of change and mods. LOL

these were done with ATTIES, not CARTOS, Kemuri, sorry to confused you. And in text form. But I'm going to try this using a carto to convert i guess to an atty style carto. If you want the atty link I can find it. I think it was in the Atomizer Mod section.

I love playing Frankenstein, it's great to know you can revive and upgrade things. Even if they fail the 1st couple attempts.

Hey Shan! I missed this thread the other day and just found it. Am watching this video now. Thanks!

I destroyed a 1300mAh eGo battery two nights ago when it was in my back pocket (and sticking out a couple of inches due to its long length) while getting into my car, and the drip tip/carto part got caught in the seat cushion, and I couldn't move forward (the steering wheel happened to be in the way). Well, the button got pushed, ended up pushing all the way through, and the computer board inside was burning up. (I wondered what that smell was!) I had to push the seat back in order to move forward enough to get the dang PV unstuck from the seat cushion. This was a brand new 1300 eGo that I had hardly used yet. I didn't like the long length, anyway, so it's no big loss, but now I have a dead battery to use to give this cartomizer teardown a try. (Yes, teardown is one word. I'm the type who will look up words to make sure I'm spelling them correctly. ha!)
