Cartos, why have you forsaken me?

Boge also admitted that they did a bunch of hiring earlier in the year and that has contributed to some of the cartos burning out early or having some of the quality control issues that people have complained about. They have already gone about re-training their employees to bring them up to standard. I've had a few boges where the filler wasn't wrapped nice and they didn't last long at all. The filler was loose and "frayed" at the top on mine.

I never had an issue with the different condoms because I don't use them anyway. My issues were with ones that didn't last me for a day and I've never had ones that tasted weird. I'll keep ordering mine from Vaporgeek (who have been absolutely stellar about dealing with Boge and answering back to me) and will avoid looking for cheap deals elsewhere.

It looks like they are working on a campaign to inform people of when they're buying the real boge product. It also sounds like they are working with the vendors who supply their cartos and will make a differentiation between the real boges versus the fake boges. I'm looking forward to it! I love my boges!

I don't for a minute believe that all the reports about bad Boge carto's are due to counterfeit products. I know of certain vendors that ONLY buy directly from Boge that are receiving complaints. To suggest that, all of a sudden, we don't know how to fill their carto's or that they aren't designed to work in a tank is ludicrous! If anything they should work better in a tank. This problem is on their end.

Edit: I just noticed that this thread is in the "Canada" forum! Hopefully the fact that I was born in Montreal and lived there for 25 years will make it ok for me to post here!

Personally, I think people from Florida should only be allowed to post provided that they send a month's worth of their weather up our way during the winter. Per post. You owe us two months so far, Pete. ;)

Just kidding (obviously). Everybody has their own thing to add to the discussion; I don't look at where someone's from, just what they have to say.

And now, back on topic: I've had no issues with the Boge SRs I got from Canvape so far. Mind you, they've got the long-short condom combo (Which would be a good name for a band), so they're probably from before the decline in quality.

I've been thinking along the same lines as Pete anyway. Ditch the cartos for a good rebuildable. Then all the bad vapes are your own darn fault. :)

I got the same response from Smoktech when i wrote them about the DC cartos that went to crap a few months ago. It is just damage control, they messed something up.

I've got some of everything coming tomorrow *hopefully*. smok dc's boge srxls and boge 35ml lr. Here's hoping they're ok. I don't think I want to live in a world where boges are no longer good.

Agreed, it is comforting to know that when you try out the latest and greatest new stuff out there, if it doesnt work out, you can come back and have a good vape with your boge....

I'll never buy another Stardust, period :).

Can't stand the taste. I don't have so many problems with the cartos, and as I said earlier, using a tank cuts down drastically the flooding and burning.

Anyway, different strokes.

+1 for carto tanks. I can't stand cartos by themselves because my VG liquids don't wick properly and I end up with a clogged, burnt-tasting carto within a day. Carto tanks, on the other hand, help me get the most out of my Boges as long as there are enough holes punched for feeding.

I usually change out my Smoktech single coils every couple days or so. If I'm lucky, I may get 3 or 4 days on one. This is using them slotted in a DCT.

The thing that galls me the most is that when they do go bad, there's not much prior warning. They go from vapable, to absolutely disgusting flavour in under an hour. I've now taken to keeping a couple slotted cartos at work for when I need to swap them out during the day.

Maybe I'm just picky about liking a clean tasting vape, and cannot stand the "torched" taste when the wicking material starts to go bad.

How far are we from having stainless mesh wrapped cartos in tanks? I'm guessing those would atleast taste good again after a nice steam cleaning. Right?!

Yeah totally blows goats. I just started using the tanks cuz I thought that it was suppose to make the cartos last longer. First Smok one I used was awesome for two days then like you said instantly went gross.

There has to be the perfect balance of inner juice to outer juice in a tank/carto setup. Too much juice pushes the filler towards the coil and that's what will get it tasting funky.

I find that filling the carto half way before it goes in the tank works well.

And my 8 week carto finally died. Left the tank in the sun, carto got flooded and never recovered.

RIP little buddy :(

I'm about to order some Smoktech XL 1.7ohm The Resurrector from Stormy Vapor Cellar. $6.75 a pack after 10% off and $4 flat rate to Canada.

The Resurrector is supposedly really good and long lasting. I was gonna get some Boge from Canvape but from what I've been hearing lately its time to change brands...

Resurrectors are good and this $4 shipping rate is even better.
