GrimmGreen just did a video praising the socks off them :)

I know. I've been eyeing them for a while now, but Grimm's video kind of pushed me over the edge and I ordered a couple boxes of them and a couple of adapters off Switcher. I hope they really are that good. If they are I'ma buy a bunch more -- before I post my review of them. :D

I wrote the following E-Mail to my favorite supplier "MyVaporStore.com" after all my friends and I started complaining about how the quality of the SmokTech DC's have fallen into the crapper the last few months, and after reading these posts. We all need to write our suppliers, and the factory and let them know that they have a problem with their customers.
If you want, you can use any part of my E-Mail to contact your supplier, so that we can get our favorite cartomizers back to their original standards.

E-Mail To your favorite supplier.

First of all, you guys are great, and I was wondering if you can help me with the following problem.

I fell in love with SmokTech DC's a little over a year ago, and they worked great. I finally stopped trying to find the best atomizers, because I found it, the ST DC. The last couple of months, the quality has gone down the drain. I noticed it, a friend and also my brother and also my neighbor noticed it too.
I tried getting them from a store "Vapure" here in town, they stopped carrying them for a while because of the same complaints. I have also tried the XXL STDC from "tastyvapor" and they were in the same condition. This all happened in the last couple of months.

I know what their problem (china) is. I believe their machinery needs adjusting, and they are just getting sloppy. The positive posts on the connectors stick out to long on some of them, so when you screw them on the battery it pushes the post in the cart, s-mushing the coils together. The poly-fill has been inconsistent, sometimes loose - sometimes tight. The airway in the center is plugged up on others.

That is why I ordered the other brand of cartomizers from you last time. They are alright, but I miss the way the SMDC's use to be. I really don't want to start looking for other attys again.

The link for ECF after this paragraph are other members saying the same thing. I AM WRITING THIS WITH THE HOPE THAT YOU WILL CONTACT THE MANUFACTURER SO THAT THEY CAN FIX THIS PROBLEM. ALSO, COULD YOU LET ME KNOW THE E-MAIL FOR THEM IN CHINA SO I COULD WRITE THEM ALSO. THIRDLY, WOULD YOU KEEP ME UPDATED ABOUT THIS MATTER, AND WHEN THE PROBLEM IS CORRECTED.

I just watched PBusardo's video and read the comments under his youtube video. The inner wraps ARE different even though he said that they're the same. I'm also wondering if anyone can tell me if the coils are wrapped in different directions? At 14:13 in his video, the left one looks to be going counter clockwise and the right one looks to be going clockwise.

From my personal experience, my boges (LR, stainless, normal height) are from Vaporgeek and they are labelled the same as the Surevapes ones. There is a sticker on the box with "510 LR Stainless" on it and the wrappers has that printed on them as well. They have the new condoms on them. So far I've had two that didn't last the day, but all the other ones seem to be working fine for me. I'm not picking up an odd taste from them.

I saw in the comments that therealmac said that "some are missing an air hole near the battery connection end". I already tossed the ones that didn't work for me, but that may have contributed to the poor draws that I got from them.

I'll be switching to kangers, or the V3 Vapors 510 horizontal coil cartomizers from Vaporus if I continue to get crappy boges. I'm also still interested in trying out some atomizers, but not for all day vaping. I heart my phiniac tank setup for low maintenance vaping.

I'm trying out the Ikenvape Fusion 801s when they get here. If they work out I'm probably going to be switching to those, at least for the most part. I did get a couple of samples of Vapor Geek's Boge XXLs though and they're still working great, so whatever batch she's got in stock seem to still be fine.

Great to hear that Boge is receiving numerous complaints, hopefully the issue will be solved soon. I looked up the link supplied in the comments, where Boge responds to a complaint:

Boge's Response - Pastebin.com

The reaction above is different from their response to Paul. Seems to me that the complaints must be coming in fast and furious, so they can no longer claim that nothing has changed, or blame it on end-user issues.

In the large order of cartos I have they all have the one long and one short condom, the SRs have a sticker on each carto (the plastic wrap) stating they are SR, the LR has just LR printed on the carto plastic.......Now I also have about 20 XLs and the all have the short condoms and the SR is printed on the wrap, these are the ones I am worried about since i use them in my tanks.....I have tried a couple and they suck so far, bad draw, burnt taste and some dont even have two air holes......I am not pleased. That being said I have primarily been using this "high performance" tankomizer that i just reviewed, I love this thing. I am a week into using it and it is stlll working great. So I will put off seeing how bad the rest of my XL cartos are for now :(

After firing off several emails throughout the evening, I am feeling confident that the issues will be addressed and fixed by Boge and rather quickly at that. One piece of information that I do want to pass along is that I was notified that there ARE fake boge companies out there. It seems that the only way to guess if they're fake is by the price. If the price is too good of a deal, then it is probably not the real deal.

I don't generally contact my vendors of choice very often as I just make my orders and receive my parcels in good time and that's good enough for me. However, the feedback that I am getting right now has been fantastic and that is a thumbs up in a big way for me.

I'm really glad I haven't ordered from Surevapes, I was thinking about it but stuck with Canvape. I just don't want to go with the unknown with all the rumours of crap/fake Boges floating around. I still haven't had any issues with either the 35mm or 45mm, LR or SR. Haven't even had 1 dud in months, which is always nice. Phewph.

Surevapes is great, @23 USD (Visa charged me $24.01 CAD) for 5 packs (25) and they have just recently started to included Canada in their free shipping. They have a great reputation throughout ECF, though not so much in the Canada forum and I'm positive they're selling real boges.

Something was *definitely* up with boge itself, confirmed by many people ordering directly from Boge, *not* just retailers. Boge has repeatedly responded that they did change condom supplies, sometimes their response seems to be because of a shortage and sometimes it sounds like it was a choice on their part. My guess is that the condoms and problems were part of cost cutting measures, that Boge won't admit to.

I contacted surevapes and they said they have more than the usual complains in April-June and added that when they contacted Boge they stated that nothing changed and their cartomizers weren't designed for devices above 3.7v or tanks - blaming hardware as usual.

I should also note, I haven't used cartomizers enough to be 100% *any* of the 25 I received were off and in retrospect, some of my problems were with TV Tobacco - a well known carto killer. I've been vaping 3 other cartomizers over the normal limit ( being cheap/frugal :p ) the last few days without problems. I know I'm beating this to death and it seems like a sales pitch, but I don't want to turn off anyone off surevapes. I'm positive it was a problem at Boge and hopefully despite the denial on their part, they paid attention to the huge influx of complaints and have things back to normal now.

I'm going to order from surevapes again next month and hope because of their high turn over, that they've gotten past stock of the bad batch.
