I been on a pretty strict boge diet with an occassional attempt with a stardust or two and then a 5 pack of kangers. I hadn't had any issues what so ever but out of the last 20 I ordered, one was completely DOA and the next 3 didn't work worth a squigglie..

Since that little run the rest have been as I have come to know/expect I had chalked it up to "stuff happens" until I read this thread.

Will see how the next pile act up or not

I'll never buy another carto, period.

Between the flooding, burning, filler taste, tight draw, NO draw, dead unit and the simple fact that they create garbage, I don't see the point. There are tons of alternatives, rebuildable devices, ce2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,47643, etc etc... Cartos are, in my mind, fading into irrelevance.

One stardust will last as long as pack of cartos.. And the price comparison speaks for itself.

I probably won't buy stardusts any more either.. Really, REALLY want to try rebuildable attys, and the vivi nova and the new vivi tank keep getting good reviews, so I'll stick with those, and just straight atty/bottom feeding.

The Stardust is now available as rebuildable, same as the Nova. VaporChase review here VaporChase Review - Vision Stardust 2 from CapitalNicFit - YouTube

Available here V3 Vapors Premium Electronic Cigarette

I rebuild mine all the time, and I have to admit I am pretty dang good at it now :)

What in the heck is going on here? I am on week number 7 on a smoktech 1.7!!!

It's in a 6.5ml tank, I fill it up once per day and I vape it at 4.5 volts all day long. I put an extra small hole on the opposite side of the pre-made one.

It was a green wrapper smoktech purchased about 4 months ago. It has vaped exactly the same as the first pull.

Guess I'm a lucky dood.

Can't we all just get along ? Heh. Personally I'm still liking both, depending on the application. I'm going to try the vivi and new stardust next.

Sometimes you find "the one", the atomizer or cartomizer that just outshines all the others, when it goes you'll mourn its' lose. :)

Stardust and vivi nova aren't really rebuildable, they're replacable heads etc. still better than @$&!#? Cartos ;)

Techniaclly, they are rebuildable. Nothing is soldered or spot-welded on these. The coil is simply held in place on the positive leg by an insulated center post underneath the seat on which the coil sits, and the negative leg of the coil is held in place by being wedged between the side of said seat and the inner sidewall of the tube. You can rebuild simply by pulling out the old wick and coil, wrapping a new one, and wedging in place the same way. The Steam Engine rebuildable atty uses this same principle.

The little carto that could :D

That's awesome though. What juice are you using?

I've been ADV'ing Juicy Clear Canadian Full Flavour for well over a year now. Nothing else works for me, I enjoyed the odd carto of Creme D'Menthe, but I haven't bought anything else for many months.

I think the trick is the perfect saturation with the two holes inside the tank. Each 1.7 has been lasting around 3 weeks, but this one is the energizer bunny!

Really? I thought the negative leg was welded in place... So you COULD, in theory, use ss mesh for the wick on either device?

I'll have to confirm it again (I haven't rebuilt any of my heads yet because they're still going) but many others have, so I'm quite certain it's possible. Previous Stardusts were designed the same way. Theoretically yes, you could make a SS wick if you wanted to.

Don't have a link but there was a video on YouTube of a rebuilt SD with mesh wick.

Has anyone had any bad Smoktek Dual coils with the flange? 1.5 or 2.5?

Or are we just talking Boges and Smoktek single coils?

Both for me. The flanged cartos turned bad, so I tried some1.7ohm singles. They were bad right out of the box (or within 1-2 hours of filling one), nothing but burn on those.

I'm about to order some Ikenvape 801s (with an adapter). I hear good thing, so I hope they work well.
