I cut mine to the lowest poin t I can on all my tanks. Just hold up the bottom Delrin next to it and mark it. That's where the cut goes.
Thanks Hairball, I remember your talking about this. So far I haven't had any sliding and I do have some o-rings but since I'm not using an adapter there wasn't room at the bottom for the ring to fit. I may pick up a 510 extender if I start having problems.
Reggie the poodle's test results came in this morning and he does have Cushing's Disease. He's in no pain, just disoriented and wobbly on his feet since this disease causes muscle weakness. He will start on meds Monday that we hope will reduce the symptoms. There is no cure but it is manageable, altho at his advanced age he most likely won't be with us much longer. We'll shower him with love until his time comes.
Some people on the Liquinator thread have been discussing having used a hack-saw, a punch or even a nail with some success, Bov. At one point, I was considering the nail and was soundly advised to reconsider and I am so glad that I did. You can imagine the list I would have come up with if I had tried that, lol!
I'm thinking cheap Dremel is the way to go...
That was my thoughts as well PI. On my last one I used the thicker grinding wheel on the Demmel and held it on an angle. it made a perfectly square hole. It really vapes good too so I'm going to use it next time too.Yes, that's the way to go. Pokey knows her stuff, and don't be disagreeable with her when she's armed with a Dremel & cutting tool.
All that center punch/ten-penny nail thinking is bound to turn a round shaft into an oval shaft that leaks like a sieve.

So what voltage are you vaping these at. With my liquinator I was vaping the LR boges (which from another post I believe are about 2ohms) at the 4.5 Wharf sent me the Buzz at. I put one of the regular boges into the liquinator and it was pretty weak. I turned the screw on the buzz about 1.5 rotations (I'm to lazy to go out to the garage and grab the voltage meter to see what the voltage is now. It is weaker then the LR was at 4.5 volts after turning the screw, BUT now sometimes where the drip tip touches my lip it burns a little. It doesn't leave marks or anything, but it is a tad bit uncomfortable!
I'm vaping mine at 5.2V. In the end, however, what setting I'm using doesn't matter. Whatever works for you is correct.
I have to grab the voltage meter and see what I am at... I started at 4.5 and didn't turn the screw much, so I doubt I am that high. I'd like to turn it up further for more vapor and better TH, but the hotness of the drip tip is a little uncomfortable. Does your drip get hot at 5.2?
I actually vape on the 808 more just because the tank is a little smaller. But for vapor, taste, and performance the MAP Fusion is my fav. It's like the smaller tank I can fill easier too. I guess I could put a port on the MAP/Fusion but I was waitng until I figured out an easier way.Hey 5c, sounds like you have been doing some great Tank modding.I am probably going to put a tank like this together soon, myself. I would like to source the polycarbonate and grommets and put something cool together, but I will probably just be lazy and buy one. What would you recommend: MAP tank?, Liquinator?, Stormy Tank? Is your 5c® Fusion tank system still your favorite?

I just tried them both and The MAP/Fusion is perfect at everything. Flavor, Vapor, Draw. I guess I'll fill it before it runs completely out. I don't know about the liquinator as I didn't get one of those.
But hey they're easy to build.
Wow I just filled the Map and it took my all of 2 seconds. I guess I don't need a port. If your going to use a Map you will have to make the extension for the Fusion but that's easy to do.

Hi G!
Here are some links to what other folks are using to make theirs from scratch...just sharing, I can't vouch for either not having gone that route.
Polycarb Tubing
3/4" OD x 5/8" ID x 1/16" Wall Polycarbonate Tubing | U.S. Plastic Corp.
Vinyl Grommets
Vinyl Grommet 5/16 Bore Diameter
I recall that the polycarb might be available on amazon, also. The cool thing about these grommets is that the center hole is already there, no punching required. These are vinyl, but I think there is one other substance supposedly better than vinyl but the name escapes me this morning. A few folks claim to be able to taste the rubber in their vape if using rubber grommets, so that doesn't sound like the way to go. Some peeps are also adding o-rings to the grommet for a sturdier fit.
The more I type the word grommet the weirder it looks. I hate when words do that to me.
I used one of the drip tips off the 510 drip tip cartomizer. You have to cut off the end then I put it in a drill and turned it while cutting a groove with a Dremmel for an o-ring. With an o-ring on each end it doesn't leak and works pretty good.Ahh, you made an extension for the fusion, I was actually thinking I might need to cut the tube to make the fusion work. Cool. Thanks!
What did you do for an extension - part of an old carto and connect them with a condom?
