How long do you use a cartridge before replacing it with a fresh one? I have been using the same one for 3 days topping it off with liquid and now I'm not getting that much vapor. Does the cotton/filling eventually become used up, not able to hold the liquid properly?

They do get gummed up with prolonged use. You can either use a new cart or rinse out the old one, let it dry and reuse it. BTW...if a new cart produces the same results, then you'll know it's not the cart...maybe the atomizer. These things are all about trial and error.
