CAM-R 2.0 left, Cam-R 2.1 final (right). Under 2-1/2" x 1" thick, 12ml, 950ml waiting on a bit and a few screws. The bit will be here today.

I was a little miffed that you're putting the mech on hold... Then I saw this. That looks awesome! Any chance you can post pics next to a REO / Sunbox etc?

Also, any idea how many will be in the first run?

I don't want my first mod to be the Cam-m. The Cam-m is a modified clone that seemed like a cool idea when I was doing mostly clones. The Cam-R is a product of my mind, it's not a copy or clone of anything else. Has anyone noticed my Roman numeral "2"? Much like Phiddias has its 5/9 aspect cross, and TBev has his symmetrical squonk hole I have the "II" I'm a second that has fought all my life being called Junior. Every tool that leaves the house is marked indelibly with TD2. I also like geometric symbolism so when I was trying to minimize the plain bland real estate on the side it just came to me.

I have sold off all of my E7s but the size is very close to an E7, as I recall the E7 was 2-3/8" x 7/8s for a classic and 15/16" for a modulo. My final prototype is 1/8" wider and 1/16" thicker with full DNA 200 power and a full sized juice bottle. I'm going to finish the 2.1 tomorrow and make 2 more cases to be sent off for milling with much better equipment. I'm thinking about doing a short run of 5-10 pieces of the handmade version ASAP. The Dna200 is awesome and I have really seen the benefit of the lipo battery. No more slow to light Vapelike you have on a mech or even the dna40. Set it for 50 hit the button and start vaping, no warm up, no waiting. I have noticed even with the dna40 and a an 18650 it will sag out long before the check battery message comes on. Not with lipo..... Beginning to end full power.

I have officially gone from wanting a II to needing a II cause a II looks like it goes to 11.

Tom, I like the look of the 2.1 much better!! The bevel on the bottle side has definitely helped with the esthetics:) And I'm sure with the feel of the mod. Is it possible to do the same on the other side?? You know how I am with sharp edges;)

Both sides of the bottle are beveled on the 2.1. It was only beveled on the back side of the bottle on the 2.0. I can't bevel the chip end, the dna200 is 3/4" wide and the mod is 1". 1/16" on each side wouldn't leave much of a bevel.

Like the reasoning and thought process behind the design. The more we discussed it I felt you had something in mind that was functional but in it's own way unique! You are bringing that concept to life!! ;) Congrats brother!:D

I'm a second that has fought all my life being called Junior.

I'm a Junior who grew up being called by my middle name "because it's less confusing". Remember: "Junior" is the same as "V2" - the one where everything got set right.

This CAM-R is really starting to take on a life of its own: go with it.

Wish I could "Like" this more than once! I am so happy for you, Tom. I can see how excited you are at doing something different than anyone else :)

I'm a junior myself that had to put up with Little John before I grew to be 8" taller than my father @ 6' 5." Been Big John every since.

I dig the direction you're taking with Cam-R Big Tom and am anxiously awaiting for my number to come up while at the same time enjoying watching the production process as you take the time to do it right.

Btw: I have about 5 Manta2 authentics and 2 Rogue authentics ready to go. Derringers will be back in stock later this week.

On the Rogue RDA's do you know where to get the o-rings for the deck, the ones that keep the top cap from slipping off? Mine have gotten pretty janky looking. All ripped up etc.

You did it right but you didn't add yourself to the Manta2 list if that was your intent. If it was your intent just go back and edit to add a line 21. sjoat.
I have a few hornets left, send me an email.

I totally get it, whilst the mech was a cool idea it's miles and miles behind the 2.1! Not only is it pushing the boundaries right now I don't know of another production line dna200 squonker out there.

You need to be seriously commended first on the size, tbh I was worried any full use of the 200watts because of overall battery size would result in a mod the size of a brick but the CAM-R looks sick! Secondly to have the vision and balls to push on i salute you. Great work dude, looking forward to getting my hands on one [emoji4]

Sucking up will, in fact, secure you a spot towards the top of the list.

No sucking up here just have respect for those that take risks and chase a dream. Was sat at no.1 slot on the Cam-R list albeit I'm happy whenever the availability time comes, Tom said a small run, if I'm outside of that no problem just know when the chance arrives I would definitely want one [emoji106]

How can I contact you or do you have a website that has all the atty that you have for bottomfeed?

Sorry if I'm posting it wrong. I'm all new to this thank you

Just to be clear:
The small run will more than likely have small imperfections and they will probably be bare aluminum (7075 mind you) I so want to do the Cam-R in 7068 but to do so I would have to buy an entire mill run of the bars at 16 12' sticks at a cost of $4500 just for the aluminum plus an 8 week wait for just the aluminum not to mention the time to CNC mill them and have them anodized not to mention the time it takes me to actually assemble and solder them.

Price point for the complete kit including the battery and the charger will probably be in the 4-500 range but a lot of that depends on what it costs to have the boxes, doors and bezels cnc'ed as well as the anodizing.
I will also offer a mod and battery kit for less. This thing charges stupid fast. I ran the battery in the v2 all the way to cut-off and it took 26 minutes to charge and a total of 936 mah x 3 back into an 850mah battery. The v2.1 will have a 950mah x 3 battery for even better battery life. I'm getting a feel for battery life with the current set up. 65watts on an 850mah lasts about an hour longer than a 25r at 35watts in a sunbox give or take. I used one of my sunboxes this morning while I was charging the CAM-R and it just couldn't get me where I wanted to be.

I went back to the veritas today and confirmed my suspicions that it is much more efficient than the Marquis so I have dropped back to 55watts and it bliss all over again.
