Still, geeez. I use Shiseido. Which is pretty much what you get when vapers have bought up all the KGD in America and you really want some Japanese cotton pads because you can.not. get XWick to do what you want.
Anyway...I must get like....20 wi ks from a pad. Maybe 30. Wispy little strips in squonkers...no need to stuff a well.
i think i mighta got a 120 pak for my $14 too. Lifetime supply...
Never tried rayon, cuz I like the J cotton. First fresh-wick hit---yummy. Really...to me it tastes..."fresh and clean".

I have a box of Seshido cotton as well, the cotton seems to be cleaner than the KGD but the fibers are less consistent and much shorter. I often ripped wicks apart when trying to install them, and once installed the performed similar to the Native stuff, slow response time, not as much juice holding capability. I never used Seshido and Native back to back but from my memory a very similar experience. In my rarely humble opinion both the Seshido and the Native are treated with something and that something is left behind and takes up space in the channels that would normally accept juice; hence the slower response time and the dry 3rd and fourth back to back hits. I'm not suggesting that the something is bad and or dangerous but it's the only thing that seems logical to me. I'm open to scientific data but until rebutted with such this is my opinion.

Just checked. I'm almost out which I find amazing considering I started with 2 boxes when I bought my first Reo. I'm on track to use a box per year.

Even if you milk the last bit of use batteries are double that amortized over their lifetimes.

Native actually absorb faster than KGD...you need to prime it
Juiced up the fresh native...fire it till about dry...then squonk...you will see how fast it absorb
And you don't need lots of cotton like KGD...too much cotton will result dry burned taste as the wick expended and block the juice.....loose wicking

Um... If it absorbs faster than KGD why would I need to prime it? Bit of a contradiction don't you think? Priming is for sealed pumps and fluid delivery systems. Cotton isn't sealed, priming it is a band aid. Not trying to be arguemetitive but I believe my logic is pretty solid, would you agree?

Thanks, Tom, for the reminder. I have been using Muji coz my initial order of KGD came directly from Japan, with a large price tag. Been hoarding that KGD.

Yesterday, when we started this discussion, I played a little 3 Card Monte with myself; except I used 3 Woodvils and Mantas instead of cards. I wicked one with KGD, one with Native Wick, and one with Cotton Bacon. I've been alternately vaping all three.
Today, I can't remember which is wicked with what.
There may be three reasons for this:
-My taste buds suck
-I'm old and suffering from CRS
-There isn't really that much difference in any of them.

You can put that Shiseido in my next package.
You shouldn't be burdened w/storing it in your limited space.
