That would be a hard transition... I wouldn't go that route unless you want 100% mobile and way fewer OS features. The new 12" retina MacBook is sick though. If I didn't need Windows for the dna200 I would have bought it instead of my dell xps13. I hate windows but it's a necessary evil for now. If the retina book had a cellular card I would have done it anyway. I hear you can ghost Windows on to a Mac. Sounds like a pain but well worth it. Still waiting for an OS X device with a cell card built in. Someday.

Why not just enable Hotspot on your phone & use it?

Honestly... My current iPad is an air1 with 1gb of ram which is an endless source of aggravation. (Jittery, choppy, and frequent page crashes/reloads). The new one has 4g of ram. Much better the huge screen didn't hurt either.

Why not just enable Hotspot on your phone & use it?

I did that for years. That uses a lot more data (like 3x) vs a cellular card. I used to have 60gb months with tethering now I'm 15-20gb and use it a lot more than ever. Catfish is IPad based. The PC is only for programming the dna200.

When the time comes, I plan to get the mac mini so I can always have full 'puter power if needed. I don't do much power usage anyway.
Need Windows for DNA200?!?!?! Ah man, that might be a deal breaker dude! I can't stand Windows either. Forced to use it at work, and that's too much for me!!
You can get Parallels for Mac. Lets you run multiple desktops with multiple OpSys's. Apple's Boot Camp lets you do it, but on a separate partition of the hard drive. I looked into this a little when my youngest went to college, as she has a MB Air too, and the school is Windows based. But, so far, she hasn't needed Windows.

No go on the royal hunter. Much like the Aeolus2 (mini) and the Petri, it's all brass. I don't do brass.

Just run vmware Fusion on it, with a Win 10 VM, works fine for me

Easily able to run any windows program on my mac with it including Visio Pro and Project.

eScribe runs fine on it

Dammit! I really do hate this PC..... It's the most awesome PC that I have ever used but I still hate it.
