The solstice is even more flexible than the stumpy for building. Down a notch to the stumpy for flavor though imo.
Reccomendations:
Great Flavor, medium to tigh draw: NarDa
Good flavor, wide range afc, easy to build on: Stumpy
Decent flavor, very wide range afc, stupid easy to build on: Solstice

Much like the Derringer the Stumpy is the most versatile of the three.

Thanks, Tom! I'll probably just hold on for my next NarDA. It's quickly becoming one of my favorites... this coming from the guy who's had three Stumpys and six Derringers.

edit: and, I have to acknowledge, the Manta V2 is f'ing awesome. Mine is all good after tossing some grubs in it. I love the stupid thing.

Very similar as of now but I will be shrinking it in height by 6-8mm and width 3-5mm. I'm working on a cover for the battery that will allow me to get rid of most of the battery side wall. Materials to do such are on the way.

Is the CAM-R still in progress for next year or has it been replaced by the LBC? Sorry, I'm a little confused. Thanks

It chose me when I chose the Sunbox it came with lol

I hear that. Same deal here, but I like the not-so little sucker. It looks goofy on smaller mods (reminds me of my old kayfun and genny days), but it works for me on a beefier mod and the flavour is stellar.

Does the derringer 2 piece cap give a more options drip tip wise or is it more an aesthetic thing?

Same drip tip options... just gives you the ability to remove the top of the two piece cap to drip (lol... right, like who does *that* anymore?) or, in my case, to monitor my chronic oversquonks.

The LBC has temporarily replaced the cam-r. I won't know until the prints for the LBC are done and theMachine shop gives me pricing what's going to happen. I will ask for them to look at the cam-r again with 7075 and an aluminum plate bezel and a modification to use the Italian bottles. The smallest option would be the cam-r with the 8.5ml bottles. I'm pretty sure I could get it down to 2-1/4" and keep the double bevel on the bottle side of the cam-r. Personally I like the cam-r a lot better but the LBC should be a lot cheaper to machine and easier to wire. The CAM-R is a lot more advanced in design where the LBC is just keeping up with the current status quo.

And to answer your question; the Cam-r will come out. I have tho8sands invested in it because I believe in it but I need to take baby steps first.

Looks almost the same, feels almost the same, vapes the same. This is why I hedged my 50 piece order down to 20 and still have 10 left over. What's ironic is I only ordered 3 extras but their were 7 people MIA when the hat came around.

Cam-R with the 8.5 Italian bottle would be my preference by far!! 1/4 inch doesn't sound like a lot but it's significant for this mod. Been using the 8.5 bottles and they are head and shoulders above anything else out there!! IMHO 7075 and the aluminum plate bezel would be a definite plus:thumb:

Please do me a huge favor; when someone needs the address either please scramble it and write it phonetically or just copy and past my logo. You would not believe how much junk email I get. Address trackers cant read pictures.

That reminds me... That Russ guy sure did a good job on my logo; no matter what did or didn't choose him......

Direct.... Connectors are bad news when trying to cut size.

Mkay, was making an order to Hobby King and just wanted to see if I would need any spares and such. Are you still going to use the JST connector for charging from the board or is that going to be direct also?

Tom, I wish there was a link available for extra Atty's you have on hand.

Hastur and vectors have me used to a little bigger drip tips ....never could get a response from brads caps...and I missed the "does not fit authentic" part of the crispy caps item description....any body have any other sugestions for wider bore derringer tips that still look like they belong on a derri.....
Damn....I missed that too and ordered x2 last week.....bummer!
Is it too tight or loose?
