Here, I must espouse the virtue of the Manta2. Lung full of diacetyl goodness.

I have the authentic. I love the manta; damn thing is even more leak proof than the thump, has amazing flavors, plus it has that lip over the airflow so my lips don't accidentally block off the airhole. I'm not a fan of the design though. It looks like a fat little gnome to me. My fav top airflow atty has got to be the rogue. Would've gotten myself a few authentic ones but allegedly those are plagued by spinning centre posts :(

The Manta v1 or 2 with the dots all open dual coil .6 ohm gives me the perfect restrictive lung hit..... Can the Thumpy or Stumpy give that kind of a lung hit, And how would you compare the flavor to the Manta and does the heat transfer to the drip tip..... I had to go with glass drip tips for the way I like to vape the Manta .... ? Anyone can answer....I've shelved my other rda's since buying these 2 Manta v2's.!

The thump definitely can. It has a really versatile airflow. Flavor wise I think they are comparable when set at the same airflow, although it somehow seem to me that my custard juice tastes a little sharper on the manta. My drip tips heat up the same on both. My build's the good ole 3/32 id, 26gauge dual at 0.4 ohms.

Thum
Thanks for the inputs on thump vs stumpy fellas!

Personally I've been the biggest fan of my thumps. It's the only atty I run these days. The sole gripe I have with it is that it whistles like no other atty when run wide open, but that I can live with

Ill see how the stumpy goes. I'm sure I'll end up liking it. Then it'll be down to deciding which one gets to sit in my new CC mod

Is this the wrong thread for getting on Tom's want list? Thanks.
Not at all... You made it.... Welcome. It's pretty quiet right now but buckle up when the stumpys, NarDas, and Snapdragons arrive. Mayhem will ensue. Please ask any questions now if you are unsure.

By the sounds of it the Narda would be more your speed. I would strongly suggest giving the Thump a pass. With higher wattages the thump heats up fast and at those higher wattages if you instinctively blow out right before vaping you will receive a most unpleasant surprise. You really can't go wrong with either the stumpy or the Narda. Imo the Narda vapes more like the manta than the stumpy if that's what you are after. If you want the ability to have a tight draw but still have the option of opening up and blowing clouds the Stumpy is more versatile. I use both the Narda and stumpy almost exclusively now.

That reminds me I will be having a yard sale of most of my demos after this run. I must have 25 attys in my pile of demos, I even found a brand new Mephisto clone still in the box already modded, as well as a few brand new Manta 1/2 cf editions that just came back from JDTech. I need to get my vape desk in order.

Let's look into some nice dual coil three/four post attys after this. My dual coil mech guys are feeling left out. As always I'm open to suggestions.

Narda.... You say.... I've been hearing you say great things about the narda!!

I love me some Manta v1 v2 but I wonder what liiiiiiiiittle more air would do to that awesome flavor! Like boring out everything between the holes in the AFC and make it cyclops style (big job?!) ..... So you could still dial it down to the oem max air if you prefer!

*Sure add a fourth in the running.... Next are you (Tom) gonna tell me that they stopped making the narda and the rogue?

My opinion of the Stumpy is very similar to the Manta flavor wise. The plus for the Stumpy is you can open the airflow for a good lung hit if desired, or close it for MTL hits. Has more airflow available than the Manta if you want it. Very versatile atty with a nice build deck.

I use Drunk_J wooden drip tips, no heat transfer whatsoever. Could live the rest of my days with the Manta's and Stumpy's, but that would be a tad boring. Everytime we turn around ole Catfish has another dandy-atty gettin bottom-fed.

Edit: Oh, and the NarDa Tom released a couple weeks ago is another damn good atty too...!

If you are looking for a manta that you can air out occasionally stick with the Stumpy. The rogue is limited on how much you can close it down but it does look dead sexy, compact, and blows clouds with the best of them. I have one left authentic it's yours if you wish.

Wanna get some quick thoughts. Can anyone compare the thump and stumpy in terms of flavor and airflow?

I've been spoilt silly by chowder's top air atties but I've been meaning to try out the stumpy.

Any chance it's a leaky one?

I like the thump best. Stumpy leaks, I'm going to sell mine.

Off to YT and the Narda....

I'm not sure there is much info yet on it. It's pretty new. This is the third release of from the first 500 pieces. If you are looking for a part time cloud blower look elsewhere. I run mine wide open and wouldn't want it any tighter.

I was thinking the same thing regarding the Manta's. I like the airflow now, but one more set of holes or one larger would be the cats-aze

Tommy boy I think ima pass on the rogue........ Sqonker all yours bruh!
I don't like the negative wire capture
I am a picky S.O.B ..... no doubt, but I know what I like.

At this point know a few things that attract me to an rda.....I prefer it to be CONICAL and have TOP AIR ...... My very first rda was a MAGMA top fed and that was an awesome vape but back then I was a MTL'er now I like lung hits but it has to have that slight restriction...

The manta v2 is reduced and conical and don't get me wrong with dual top afc's wide open its just about where I like to vape.... I'm just WONDERING what it would be like with a fourth hole or boring it all out and making it cyclops afc for a TOUCH more air = more versatile, more kick ....!

I'm sure there are many variables that go into what makes "the perfect atty" for someone.... Like post design and location, overall size/volume of the chamber, air direction, ETC ETC ...... but having the top inner chamber conical or domed does something to enhance the flavor........ IMO!!!

Tom Is the FISHBONE ➕ doable ....its very unique and really affordable!
