Oh, hell... that thing looks like a sink drain. Guess I need to figure out which color I want to send in to be Catfish'd.

I'm looking for a source actually. If I find one it will be a lot cheaper than paying retail then sending it to me. Any help that leads to this happening will be rewarded.

Yes... Very true. Nareg is actually a great guy to deal with, which is a big part of the problem in that he has a hard time saying no to anyone. Initially he told me he had other wholesale accounts which I have no reason to doubt but I can't say for certain either way. Us working together actually made perfect sense because I didn't advertise or even offer NarDas on Facebook and he doesn't have an ECF account supplier or otherwise. To,be perfectly honest I saw this coming after this run or,if,we were lucky the next run. He has been slammed starting right after,the first ten we got.

I'm simply thankful you were able to hook your ECF peeps up with the first run and now this one, albeit in limited quantities. There is a reason I keep buying attys from you.

...? So I just went from 2 Nardas and one on the reserved list, to nothing? This is a total screw over. Didn't you have an order for 40 in? So Nareg just went sorry dude, your order is now cut in half, take it or leave it? Or was the list of 40 just wishful thinking in the first place?

I'm sorry that I'm not all "oh no big deal, do whatever dude" about this, but this is f-ed up.

No actually the initial order was for 50 actually. A few weeks ago he begged for mercy so I cut it back to 40 pieces. A few mornings ago he sent me a good news bad news pm on Facebook in regards to,the 20. I didn't post it up immediately because I was trying to negotiate with him. I had the gut feeling I could still work it out where the second 20 would be delayed but still come in a few weeks, I even offered to pay extra to no avail.

You in particular were removed from the list due to being on the first list. There are a few others that will be in the same boat as soon as I find the final of the Narda 10 list.

I feel somewhat obliged to have Nareg's back here. As far as I know, Tom was the only person to get a "wholesale" deal the first time around. Does the current situation kind of suck? Sure, it does. But, Nareg isn't playing the exclusivity game as far as I'm aware. If you spend any time in the Narmods FB group, you should come away with the same opinion. He really is trying to make sure that everyone who wants a NarDA will get one. He seems like a very down to earth dude and is trying to hook people up. Let's not overlook the fact that his atty became super-hyped almost overnight and he's a small businessman like most modders. You don't have to give Nareg or his buddies a handy to get one of these attys. As a matter of fact, if you try, you'll get hit with the ban hammer - dude doesn't play favorites.

His second FB list was limited to only those folks who didn't already own a NarDA... unlike another modder who would only sell to those who already owned his product.

I guess I miss out on all the love since I'm no longer on Facebook but if he agreed to sell Tom 40 then he should honor that agreement if you ask me.

Also IMO only offering things on FB isn't running a business either but that's my problem & not his. I'm not just talking about Nareg on this one, just mentioning that I hear a lot of modders doing that lately.

FWIW, dealing product via Facebook is becoming the norm rather than the exception. It is what it is. Nareg did just launch a website and hopefully will ramp up production to meet demand. You weren't interested in the NarDA regardless, right?

Anyway, Tom tries to hook us all up. Look at the Stumpy - Catfish peeps accounted for a large percentage of Stumpy sales due to Tom's ability to create a relationship with Harry. He did the same thing with Nareg.

This is an odd industry, much akin to,the Wild West most folks with an idea like me don't typically do as well as I have done just off of ECF. For most serious modders it requires a Facebook front and wholesale back. The front handles marketing and a small part of the upper end extremists. To make this work you must be able to balance supply and demand, the latest fad is to throw that balance out the window and stick to small batches. This concept requires a lot less work as you are only building s certain amount (less work) and in turn keeping the price high. The rest of the world doesn't work like this. The rest of the world works more like I do in both marketing and supply. This is the part I miss about clones. If I want a thousand of something and I have the money, I will have a thousand of them within a week sitting on my doorstep. When you can't keep up it makes a ripe market for the clone manufacturers.

Correct... That's how a Catfish do..... Make friends, try to come to a mutually beneficial agreement, and stick to that agreement. Part of the issue was Nareg cut himself to tight on his side of the margin. I myself did not, I could live very well on NarDas alone. Perhaps I should have insisted on paying more but that's just not what business is about if you wish to remain profitable.

Just confirm or leave it alone; unless of course this whole fiasco sickens you and you feel the need to delete yourself from the situation which I totally understand. I nearly did that Friday morning in regards to the whole thing but realized that wouldn't be fair to any of us. I try my hardest to speak and negotiate for the group not myself.

He just isn't a subscriber to my philosophy which is create the demand then fill the demand. One without the other isn't going to work. He is heavy on the create however light on the fill.

That was really my point, creating demand without sufficient inventory is not the way to run a business. My other incredibly expensive hobby is audio, I've had a lot of one off custom gear but the major difference is that those modders will make it for you provided you will wait. I can deal with that, in that what you're waiting for is the magic to come from the builder's hands & understandably there is a back log. Milling a chunk of metal especially with a CNC machine is not the same.

Yes but I'm slated for 20 or 25 of them and I will get what I ordered, that I can work with. The pulled rug technique is a new concept to me. Usually I'm offered a better price if I will double my order. Not cut my order with a sorry and "tough break kid".
