Haven't lost any grubs (yet), but I'd like to get a bunch anyway.
The act of simply buying a bunch of extras will prevent you from ever losing one. I haven't lost a grub screw since I bought a bunch.
Is this the right one ??
I assumed they are "metric" and this was the closest one I could find, even if it doesn't say grub or flat-ended.
And I also guess I want the "stainless steel" ones

Nonmarring Flat Point Set Screws
Make frequent adjustments with minimal surface damage. Screws have a hex socket. Length listed is the overall length.
Metric sizes meet DIN 913/ISO 4026. Type 316 and 18-8 stainless steel screws have a Class 6g thread fit. Alloy steel screws have a Class 5g6g thread fit.

Don't know ... would not of thought a "screw" was the center pin, so I had to ask.
This is painfully true. All my spares are completely untouched.
And of course I didn't get spare m2 screws. Literally the only spare I didn't buy, I end up losing it. $&@%#*#+{

The stumpy grub screws are m3 X 4mm long. Suggest 316 SS.I just got my first (probably the one and only) Stumpy,
Point is ... I'm a klutz, and I just know from experience I'm going to lose one of those teeny weeny screws

The more I look at this one, the more it looks like an updated Manta.
If I'm looking at it right, it looks like my dream atty.
Side or top air afc, but the top air is true top air, not channeled like the Manta (I gotta be honest, I've grown to really dislike that channeled air)...in all other ways yes looks like an updated Manta

For your Sunday morning viewing pleasure.
I'm thinking a dome would have really set this one off, without it it might be a slight miss but still looks solid. If this one comes to fruition I'd give it a whirl. The one thread here ran out of steam pretty quick due to the deck design & ease of wicking but it doesn't look real bad to me??
Looks easy to build and wick IMO...off to search for that thread, Sloth cannot rest when excited
ETA, ah, seems "Odin-esque" in the sense that people say they have to build, wick and push their coils down...I don't think it'd be an issue for me though.
I really just need to design a slothattypus. I look at these attys and always think "that's so close, but this should be a little different..."

As a tug V2 fan boy it was tough for me not to order the v3....kinda glad I waited because I have yet to read a positive review....
Some of the cons...
Pain to build due to high side walls ....notice the notch
Can't separate air flow...the top and side are due not move independently...you can't use just top or just side

Maybe it's just me but on any top air atty I always run my coils high, makes sense to me, I don't see how that's a difficult build?
Maybe I'm just a jerk...but I would, personally, love to see a giant list for the Tugboat V3. Not because I think it'd be a great atty, but because it'd be fun to try and interpret the growls, grunts and moans from Tom if he had to mod a bunch of Tugboats. Not to mention hearing about the sheer enjoyment he experienced dealing with Flawless!
I have it on good authority, that if this became a go, we would see a noticeable change in our fearless leaders attitude. Tom can get pretty creative with the English language when he's aggravated. I, for one, think we'd all walk away from this with a better understanding what can be done with common swear words. Have you ever seen Chef Ramsey make a dish with items found in the average homeowners pantry? It's incredible.

I have fiddled with one personally. .but the arrival of my first stumpy and less than stellar reviews defiantly stopped the impulse buy....I really wanna like it... but I think I'm a stumpy convert at this point

That deck is wide open, can't see a problem building or wicking coils either, and why push the coils lower there's so much room without the dome, that could explain lack of flavor with the coils too far from the air-holes.
I like top-to-side air of the Manta. Top because it doesn't leak and side because I then think most of the air will hit the coil. With true top air I suspect a lot of the air will just make a U-turn back to the drip tip. I of course have nothing to back that up.
Would like to see more attys like the Manta but I guess it is more complicated to design and construct an RDA with channeled air. Would love to have one with a little bit more air and easier AFC.
