What about just doing a single coil in the Manta? Do you have any thinner wire? I haven't tried duel coils yet with TC, just single. For duel coils, I would think you need wire like 30g or even 32g. When I get my mod, I will be running a single coil in the Manta.
Not even going to attempt 30 or 32ga! :). Single coil works and fits (just). I'll do one and see how I like it. Nothing ventured...

YePsTeR, I can barely wrap normal ol' garden variety coils. Twisted? Yikes! :)
Try twisted too!

LittleBird I agree with YePsTeR, twisted 30ga ni200 is much easier to work with and you need fewer wraps.

If you are worried about twisting the wire, it's actually pretty easy. If you want you can pm your address and I'll twist some up and stick it in an envelope for you.

Not in Colorado yet!
I think with a single spaced coil you will be amazed at the taste. You can even push the watts way up and get a really nice dense vape. I hope it works our for you LittleBird.

Edit: Are you using tempered ni wire? Tempered is much easier to work with. I think Lightning Vapes sells tempered now.

Thanks again. Love the redneck fix by the way!

Thanks. The redneck fix works pretty well. I really dislike the stock mouthpiece. I'm going over to a friend's shop in a little while. He makes some nice drip tips. We'll see what we can come up with for a more permanent solution.

I'm not a big fan either. It's almost there, but a little too big for me. I like it better than the REM tip, but not better than the REM with a tip that fits.

Oh man these things are stunning...they look out of this world, and the craftsmanship is stellar. Soaking in soapy water, to be coiled very soon, work permitting :)

Lacking a driver so I have to use the provided allen wrench x.x

I love the tip :) but I'm used to brads caps and the rem tip

It's a nice atty. very well machined. It's made by the same guys that made the Vulcan, I think. It's easy to build on, for sure. If it took standard drip tips, I can see it being a great atty. But at this point, I prefer my Manta and Rogue over the Vector.

First impressions of the Vector.....First of all, Im a flavor chaser, not a cloud chaser. For me, it has waaaaaay too much airflow. 6 holes open is too much for me and 4 holes open is a little tight. I fiddled around with the airflow and found a sweet spot somewhere between 4 and 6 holes. Currently I have a dual coil, 2mm, 26ga @4.6ohm. Not getting as good of flavor as the Manta or Derringer, but Im chuckin some serious clouds. I have the coils pretty high up, right under the airholes. I also removed the screen. Not diggin the driptip either. I'll definitely get a DT from Tbev when theyre ready, Im thinkin that will reduce the airflow a little. Might put the screen back in later too. Seriously easy to build on though.
Curious if anyone else has a build that brings out the flavor. Im not giving up yet, I love a good challenge!!

My initial grade on the Vector: B-

I am waiting on my 2 to get here.... USPS decided they needed an extra day to cool off before getting here  But reading the feedback here, I am going to build one vertical and one horizontal and see how it works out

With the way the positive connection is higher than the negatives, I was wondering if the Vector begs for slanted or even vertical coils...?

I actually like staggered post holes. When you think about it, they make sense, because when you wind a coil and have both legs going the same way, one leg is at the top of the coil, the other is at the bottom.

Good point! I didn't consider that when I wrapped my coils last night. I used the Super X method of bending the legs so that they come off the coil parallel to each other. I'll try not doing that tonight!

So you ARE making a mod!
Ok so how does this work..man ya'll move fast. I cannot read through 30 pgs this morningo_O
I see you have 50 vectors, but I believe my number was 67. So do I pay for it and wait for the next batch to come in... or?

First impressions are: awesome

My standard build is rocking the flavor. The draw of this thing rocks. I think it is screaming "I was made for Sloth"

Of course, it'll take time to fiddle - and I wanna rebuild it, legs were glowing slightly. But, I had to hit it - had to - so wicked it up and wham. This is what I wanted to experience the first vape off the REM.

I'm getting great flavor from the cure right now. It's different than the D - like, I'm getting more of this note and less of the other - but in terms of fullness of flavor? Spot on.

Tom I'll be ordering more.

ETA this may be the best flavor I've gotten out of the cure. The smores aspect is in my face right now. The tobacco was in my face in the D. Still getting the backy but the smores is right there with it!
