I was wondering what you thought about the DNA200. Would be nice to have an SX350j and DNA200 squonker.
Dna200 squonker seems very unlikely , if i heard right it requires 3 cells and squonker will be a one big ayuss mod :)

The prototype shown thus far seems reasonably sized. Someone just posted a pic in the DNA200 thread showing it next to other mods and it's about the same size as a Hana.

Not my cup'o tea by any means as it takes the fun out of the art of tinkering but, the concept has it's place in the vaping world I suppose.

You're probably right, but it still makes me smile to see how little cash they've raised so far.

Damn yuppies.

Been playing a bit with vector builds, positioning etc. I've got dual twisted 28,7 wrap 2mm in one of em. Radioactive hits like a beast. A frigging beast. The flavors great with either 2 or 3 holes open each side. Still not totally D level but getting there. I hit my d maybe 5 times yesterday and the flavor just wasn't enough better to justify hitting it more. I love the vector.

Well, thank you for your willingness to post Red E7 porn for me :)

I can relate. If I can score the penguin (don't care what combo of black and/or white), I will have that "one". Won't stop me from stalking for more stabilized, though!

Having one of THESE which I have 2 evaluated to see what can be done.

Just shows how we're all so different. That's why it's so great that Tom is offering up so many various authentic attys. I got out my Vector and fooled around with it for a couple hours, this morning. Screen out, screen in, moved coils up and down, wicked with cotton, wicked with rayon, changed the air flow several times. At it's best, the Vector isn't in the same ball park as my Manta, flavor wise.

My experience too. I think folks have a different definition for "great flavor". No problem except I have to figure out shelf space for the Vectors because someone might just shine a light in my dark closet and I'm always willing to try again.

My hope is the DNA200 works in different watt ceilings based on how many cells it senses.. One cell, 60 watts, two cells - 120 watts, three cells - 200 watts.

I can't imagine Evolve would release a chip that can't be used in any current mod on the market. I can see them making something that can scale based on different battery technology/configurations.

Exactly what i was thinking about the limits per cell if it works that way even for people like me ( never see need for a regulated mod ) it would be quite attractive...

It's true - my understanding of the manta is its much better flavor. The trick to sloth is he is no flavor chaser - or cloud chaser - really just seeking a nice combo of both for the draw I like. It is the beauty of tom offering options for sure cause we all have a different set of desires out of our vape :)

For me, the Vector requires a fairly high velocity draw to shine. I choke the air flow down to where I can pull reasonably hard comfortably. The air flow in that chamber is a little "confused" compared to, say, a Velocity. Using 2.5 mm coils high and outboard with minimal wick (space underneath) seems to be working fine for me.

That could be my problem..
Old lungs suck....but not to well. :)

Yep. Having been a DIYer for about 4 years, and sometimes small local seller, I'm all about flavor.

Re: Vector

From a aerodynamic standpoint the Vector is not "optimum"....
I did some experimentation a while back measuring airflow from those old lungs and calculating Reynolds numbers with various air slot/coil configurations because I wanted to make my perfect one-off atty.
Based on that I would not expect the Vector to perform well without major "suck" effort ( and even then problematic) and from what you say that might be true.
There is a lot of room to improve atty performance but as with anything it would take engineering effort and I doubt if any current manufacturers have anything other than trial and error engineering involved in their design efforts.
